[Regnum] The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) destroyed three bases of militants who had taken refuge in mountainous areas in the Syrian province of Homs. This was announced during a briefing on April 17 by the Deputy Head of the Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties, Major General Yuri Popov.
“Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed three bases of militants who left the al-Tanf zone and took refuge in hard-to-reach areas of the Al-Amur mountain range in Homs province,” Popov said.
He also said that over the past 24 hours, no attacks on positions of Syrian troops in the Idlib de-escalation zone by militants have been recorded.
As reported by IA Regnum, on April 5, Russian aircraft destroyed two bases of militants who left the At-Tanf zone. As Yuri Popov, deputy head of the Center for Military Security, clarified, the terrorists were hiding in areas of hard-to-reach mountain ranges in the Syrian provinces of Homs and Deir ez-Zor. Prior to this, it was reported that a militant camp was destroyed in the area of the village of Qubassin in Aleppo province, who were involved in shelling the positions of Syrian government troops.
