…in support of the Palestinian cause.

American security forces now confront protestors.

As usual, Netanyahu likened US campus encampments by ‘antisemitic mobs’ to 1930s "Nazi Germany".

  • Police arrested four protesters after warning them they could face criminal charges if they did not disperse

  • The rally at the Austin campus was organized by the university's Palestine Solidarity Committee (PSJ) chapter

  • It comes as standoffs with cops kicked off at universities across the country on another day of mayhem in US

Hundreds of troopers have marched on the University of Texas at Austin before scuffling with pro-Palestine protesters as demonstrations kicked off at campuses across the country.

Police arrested at least four activists - who burst out in tears when they were handcuffed - after warning them they could face criminal charges if they did not disperse.

The rally at the Austin campus was organized by the university's Palestine Solidarity Committee (PSJ) chapter and quickly descended into anarchy.

The group said it was inspired by their 'comrades' at Yale and Columbia University, where in-person classes have been canceled due to the unrest sparked by 'encampments for Gaza.'

It comes as pro-Gaza groups took to universities across the US and clashed with police and Jewish counter-protesters, with furious demonstrators spotted at USC, Harvard, UC Berkeley, Brown and NYU.

Courtesy of Elmaper+McGurque1612, the NY Post has even more on the UT at Austin Texas state troopers action, including more photos and video.
And in a post-midnight update from UPI:
Dozens of demonstrators participating in pro-Paleostine protests at university campuses throughout the country were arrested Wednesday evening, as schools struggle to contain growing anger over the Israel-Hamas

war.

At least 34 arrests were made as of 9 p.m. local time at the University of Texas, Austin campus, while an unconfirmed number of arrests were made during a protest at the University of Southern Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, in Los Angeles.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said in a statement that the arrests were made at the request for assistance by UT and at the direction of Gov. Greg Abbott
... governor of Texas. Abbott is a Republican. His 2014 Dem opponent, state senatrix Wendy Davis, thought the absolute, most pressing, most important issue facing the state was abortion. Abbott beat the pantyhose off her. His 2018 opponent, Lupe Valdez didn't dwell too heavily on abortion, but she lost too...
, stating it was to prevent unlawful assembly and in support of UT police in maintain the pace.

"These protesters belong in jail," Abbott said on X. "Anti-Semitism will not be tolerated in Texas. Period. Students joining the hate-filled, anti-Semitic protests at any public college or university in Texas should be expelled."

#20  #18 The need to track is greatly mitigated by the fact the Fed is involved in coordination and funding. Yes, Andy would discover many an interesting detail. If I were him, I'd start with the 2018 collusion of Fed and State Govt/LE to prop up Antifa that was on standby to get crushed by the Proud Boys.

#18   Occupy Wallstreet

All Black Block anarcho-communist syndicalists together, M. They change organization names to match the current hot buttons— which Hamas is, just now — but the cadres, the core purpose, and the methods are unchanged. Were I the FBI, etc, I’d track personnel webs, joint office locations, funding webs. The DoD had a program they used in Iraq and Afghanistan for the purpose — was it called Paragon?

Andy Ngo would discover interesting things, I’m sure, were he to apply it to the names h’s collected since he started causing problems for Portland.

#14  The ones willing to claim that are pushed in front of the cameras, Xy, just as at other times females or persons of colour are the public face.

I suspect many claiming to be “a Jew, but…” are like my niece: a Jewish father who died when she was in preschool, reared with no contact with the Jewish side of the family or any Jews at all where she grew up, and the only contact she had with Jews in college were the “a Jew, but” she met in her women’s studies classes and protests.

#5 I see a lot of young female protestors in these videos and on teevee. Can someone explain this phenomena? Is there a medical issue? Are medications driving this madness? Is there a frustration or defiance with the natural order of nature concerning motherhood, purpose, happiness ?

Beso,

Funny you should mention that - I've seen the same thought pop up a lot over the last week or so. One writer said that just based on what he was seeing at Columbia, the ratio was 4 or 5 women to 1 male.

And that has brought out a quote from some British fella named Orwell:

"It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies and nosers-out of unorthodoxy."

#6  The DA there won't do anything though, so unless it's state level prosecutors, expect all the arrests to be the peak of the response, with no real consequence.
