Now, a month after the fact, House Republicans brought a bill to the floor that would prohibit the President from withholding defense items to Israel, creating a two-tiered foreign policy system, and establishing a precedent that could be used to limit the discretion of future presidents. I voted NO, not because I agree with President Biden’s decision, but because this approach was not narrowly defined.” I’d written to him about it last week, so it may be that this item in the much longer email is his response — there was none other. |
