#1 I did Survivor Assistance Officer back in the day. If I had found out this was happening to one of my families, it would have been quite a convoy of guys who would accompany me to talk to the guy about it. Just thinking about it....

#5 I did one Death Notification/SAO assignment in my career. It was enough. I have little doubt his Leavenworth time above room temperature will be very short!

#6 The Army separated Notification and SAO. With the latter, at least you could feel you were helping. Notification was the worst.
But, yeah, I suspect the guards are going to be distracted frequently.
