Florida sheriff's office makes record fentanyl bust, arrests 3 people trafficking drugs sent from Mexico
[FoxNews] Three suspects were arrested in Florida in connection with an undercover drug trafficking bust in which officials seized 11 pounds of fentanyl manufactured in Mexico.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said it was the largest fentanyl bust in the agency's history. The quantity of the drug was enough to kill 2.7 million people.

According to investigators, the fentanyl was manufactured in Mexico and trafficked into the U.S. to be made into synthetic pills and sold on the streets.

The undercover operation, which began in September, was carried out in coordination with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, U.S. Border Patrol, Homeland Security, and the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office had received information that an international drug trafficking organization was trafficking fentanyl from Mexico to the city of Bradenton and then to Polk County.

Undercover detectives arranged to purchase fentanyl from an unidentified source in Mexico for $24,000 per kilo.

The local facilitator for the drug buy, identified as 28-year-old Ignacio Rodriguez, told detectives the source in Mexico would only deal in large amounts and that the price of the drug fluctuated based on its quality.

Detectives negotiated the purchase of $60,000 worth of fentanyl on September 19.

Rodriguez showed up to the meeting in Polk County with five of the six kilograms. He had two kilos hidden in a Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal box and three kilos concealed in a yellow Igloo cooler.

The facilitator then warned the detectives about the risk of overdosing.

He suggested wearing a mask and gloves, and that they drink milk before ingesting the drug to help with feelings of tightness in their chests. Rodriguez also told detectives he could sell them marijuana, meth and cocaine.

During the investigation, detectives identified two other suspects out of North Carolina. Mario Alberto Castro Solache, 29, and Pedro Mondragon, 27, drove from North Carolina to Polk County on October 11 to meet with undercover detectives about another fentanyl sale.

Castro Solache told detectives he and the supplier in Mexico wanted to establish a portion of their drug trafficking operation in Polk County and that he was going to move to the county and take responsibility for handling operations for the Mexican cartels.

Both men were taken into custody on October 12 and told detectives they were being paid to collect money for the fentanyl drug dealer in Mexico. Castro Solache is in the country illegally and has a Border Patrol hold in the Polk County Jail.

Castro Solache and Mondragon are charged with conspiracy to traffic in fentanyl. Mondragon was released on bond on October 17.

Rodriguez was taken into custody by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office on October 14 for trafficking in fentanyl, conspiracy to traffic in fentanyl, possession of a vehicle for drug trafficking, unlawful use of a two-way communication device and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released from the Manatee County Jail on October 15 after posting a $56,500 bond.

Suspected Perpetrators of Recent Kabul Blasts Killed in Raid: Officials
[ToloNews] At least six members of ISIS were killed in a night raid conducted in PD 8 of capital Kabul, a front man for the Islamic Emirate said on Saturday.

Islamic Emirate front man Zabiullah Mujahid said in a statement that the individuals have been involved in attacks on Wazir Akbar Khan Mosque, Kaaj educational center and other areas, in which civilians have been targeted.

"Two members of ISIS were arrested in the west of Kabul yesterday (Friday), and then a ISIS hideout was discovered and was raided in PD8 of Kabul city. As a result, six ISIS affiliates were killed, and the grenades, explosives materials and a vehicle were seized," he said.

Residents said the festivities started around 8:00 pm and lasted for several hours.

On September 23, at least seven people were killed and more than 40 were maimed in a blast near a mosque in Wazir Akbar Khan, which is known as the Green Zone, containing embassies and diplomatic missions.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed the death of 25 people in the attack on Kaaj educational center. More than 30 people were maimed, according to the ministry.
Six members of ISIS and one member of the Taliban were killed as a result of an operation against ISIS’s hideout in Kabul’s 8th police district, according to a thread of tweets from the Taliban official, Mujahid.

Mujahid claims that after interrogating two captured ISIS members, they discovered the hideout in the Afghan capital, which they raided on Friday night.

Nearly 60 students, mostly girls, lost their lives in the attack on the Kaaj school on the 30th of September, and more than 114 other students were severely injured.

Yemeni rebel drones target Greek ship in government-run port
[An Nahar] Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
's Iran-backed rebels said they targeted a fat merchantman Friday off an oil terminal in the war-wrecked Arab country's south to prevent pro-government forces from using it for oil exports. A Greek company owning the Marshall Islands-flagged tanker said it sustained no damage in the attack by explosive-laden drones.

The attack apparently targeting the Nissos Kea marks the first announced military action since a truce between the country's warring sides expired earlier this month. It also again signals potential danger for fat merchantmen that pass by or stop in Yemen.

The attack happened in Ash Shihr, Yemen, near the city of Mukalla, some 585 kilometers (360 miles) east of the rebel-held capital of Sanaa in territory held by pro-government forces for years.

The Nissos Kea's owner, Athens-based Okeanis Eco Tankers Corp., said there were "two drone-driven explosions in close proximity" as it tried to load at the port. Ash Shihr's port has a crude oil pipeline at it that has a capacity of 300,000 barrels a day.

"Neither explosion impacted the vessel. All crew is safe and unharmed," the company said. "There was no damage to the vessel and no pollution."

Satellite data analyzed by The News Agency that Dare Not be Named showed the Nissos Kea far off Yemen's coast in the Gulf of Aden in international water and sailing away toward Oman on Saturday.

The British military's United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, which monitors Mideast sea traffic, acknowledged "an incident" off Ash Shihr on Friday, but only said the ship and its crew were safe. The U.S. Navy's Mideast-based 5th Fleet said it was aware of the attack, but declined to comment further.

The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
s called the attack a "warning strike."

The government denounced the attack and said "all options are open in dealing with this terrorist action," and warned it could negatively affect any further peace talks.

It also said Friday's strike was the third in recent days by Houthi drones on shipping in their territory, after another ship was targeted on Tuesday and Wednesday night in the port of Radoum, in the central part of Yemen's coast on the Gulf of Aden. International authorities have not previously acknowledged those strikes.

War has raged since 2014 in Yemen between the Houthi rebels and pro-government forces, backed by a coalition of Sunni Gulf Arab states.

The Iran-backed Houthis swept down from the mountains in 2014, occupied northern Yemen and the country's capital and forced the internationally recognized government to flee into exile to Soddy Arabia

The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
Since then, more than 150,000 people have been killed in the violence and 3 million have been displaced. Two-thirds of the population receives food assistance.

The initial, two-month truce agreed to on April 2 by the government and the Houthis was extended twice, until Oct. 2. Since then, both the United States and the United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
have blamed the Houthis for a breakdown in efforts to extend the cease-fire yet again.

One of the main obstacles to a truce is the use of Yemen's resources. The Houthis maintain that oil produced in Yemen should not be allowed to be exported by the cash-strapped government side.

Greek ship cancels plans to steal Yemeni oil following Yemeni warning missile strike
[HODHODYEMENNEWS] Foreign ships on Saturday canceled contracts to smuggle Yemeni oil, in the wake of a warning attack by Sanaa, which targeted the main export ports in eastern Yemen.

Southern media, quoting a statement of the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, revealed that a Greek ship called "Marna Konbas" refused to smuggle a new shipment and retreated from near al-Dhaba oil port of Hadramout
...the formerly independent Qu'aiti state and sultanate, annexed by Communist South Yemen in 1968, encompassing a region along the Gulf of Aden, extending eastwards to the borders of the Dhofar region of Oman. The people are called Hadhramis and speak Hadhrami Arabic. The city Tarimis is estimated to contain the highest concentration of descendants of the Prophet Muhammad (PTUI) anywhere in the world, approximately seven in every square yard...
The statement issued by the Ministry of Oil and Minerals indicated that the pro-coalition government is facing a new dilemma related to oil smuggling.

The Greek ship’s refusal to smuggle a new shipment reflects the extent of the fears from targeting in the wake of the warning attacks.

South Korean oil tanker withdraws from Yemeni waters following warning strike by National Salvation Government forces
[HODHODYEMENNEWS] The National Salvation Government of Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
has on Saturday received a notification from a South Korean oil tanker with the confirmation that it had officially left Yemeni territorial waters.

Media, quoting navigational sources, reported that the ship Tissos Kia, which came from a South Korean port and was about to enter al-Dhaba port in order to smuggle Yemeni oil purchased from the Saudi-led occupation, informed the Yemeni Coast Guard that it had retreated to international waters.

The sources noted that the ship had previously refused to respond before the recent Yemeni warning attack on al-Dhaba port.

The Yemeni Armed Forces had carried out a warning attack that hit near a ship as it approached al-Dhaba oil port in Hadhramaut province, eastern Yemen.

According to the Spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, the attack came after the ship had ignored official warnings from Sana’a as part of a strategy to prevent the looting of Yemeni oil.

Kansas man who interpreted for US in Afghanistan accused of concealing Islamic State - Khorason contact
[Stars and Stripes] An American citizen who was hired by the U.S. military to be a translator in Afghanistan has been charged in federal court with lying about his contacts with the Islamic State

terrorist group.

Mohammad Rafi Mohammadi, of Kansas City, Kan., sent money to one Islamic State recruiter and sought to secure the release of another, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday in Kansas.

He faces one count of making a false statement, a felony that carries a sentence of up to five years in prison.

During a security check prior to his deployment to Afghanistan as a Defense Department contract linguist in 2019, Mohammadi hid contacts with the terrorist group’s Afghanistan affiliate, known as ISIS-K, court filings state.

Prosecuting someone for lying on a security clearance form is rare, experts told Rolling Stone magazine, which first covered the case.

Tim Burdick, a public defender representing Mohammadi, told Stars and Stripes that his client had served the U.S. military "for several years."

"We look forward to the opportunity to present his defense," Burdick said.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office — District of Kansas when reached for comment declined to speak on a pending case.

The Islamic State in Afghanistan, an offshoot of the terrorist organization in Iraq and Syria, has launched deadly attacks throughout the country since its founding in 2015. Its most infamous bombing occurred last year at the Kabul airport during the mass evacuation after the U.S.-backed government fell to the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
. The attack killed 13 U.S. troops and 170 Afghan civilians.

The criminal complaint did not name the two Islamic State recruiters allegedly connected to Mohammadi, calling them Individual No. 1 and Individual No. 2.

The unidentified individuals could be Abu Obaidullah Mutawakil and Mubasher Moslemya, who were arrested in Kabul in 2019, Rolling Stone said.

FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
Sherlocks said they have Facebook messages showing that Mohammadi asked a friend in 2018 for the phone number of Individual No. 1 and arranged to send $400 to him.

Individual No. 1 was arrested by the spy agency of the U.S.-backed former Afghan government in 2019 on suspicion of recruiting bandidos gunnies for ISIS-K, the court filing said.

The criminal complaint did not elaborate on Mohammadi’s his work as a translator, other than to say that he had once attempted to sneak back onto base after leaving without permission.

In the fall of 2021, Mohammadi allegedly told an FBI informant that while deployed to Afghanistan, he tried to facilitate the release of Individual No. 2.

Mohammadi also posted videos of both men on his Facebook page, an FBI agent cited in court documents said.

Last week, Mohammadi told federal agents that he did not send money to an Islamic State recruiter and did not personally know him, according to court filings.

PKK claims Turkey carried out chemical attacks against its fighters, Ankara denies
[Rudaw] Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) has claimed multiple times that the Ottoman Turkish forces have conducted chemical attacks against its fighters in the Kurdistan Region’s mountainous areas since April. Ottoman Turkish authorities denied this on Friday, saying their army follows international laws.

The Ottoman Turkish army has carried out several military operations against the PKK, an gang struggling for the increased rights of Kurds in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

, in the Kurdistan Region in recent years, with the latest one being launched in April. Ankara sees the PKK as a terrorist organization. The Kurdish group has recently published several videos which purportedly show Ottoman Turkish soldiers targeting its fighters with chemical substances.

On Tuesday, the PKK-affiliated Firat News Agency (ANF) published footage which it claimed showed Ottoman Turkish soldiers putting chemical substances into a cave in Duhok province’s Warkhal area through a tube. The news outlet added that a couple of PKK fighters, who were in the cave, have been affected by the substances - suffering from memory loss and breakdown of nerves.

The PKK said a day earlier that Turkey had used banned bombs and chemical substances for at least 2,476 times since April. On Tuesday, the PKK also published the identities of 17 of its fighters whom it claimed had been killed in the alleged chemical attacks by Turkey.

The pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) has taken the issue to the Ottoman Turkish parliament, asking a number of questions to Ottoman Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar, including whether an investigation has been launched into the claims.

The Ottoman Turkish defence ministry on Thursday deemed the claims that its soldiers used chemical substances against the PKK "completely baseless and untrue."

Ottoman Turkish "Armed Forces do not use ammunition prohibited by international law and agreements. This type of ammunition is not in the inventory of the Ottoman Turkish Armed Forces," the ministry said.

The Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), an umbrella group which includes the PKK, called on Kurds on Saturday to speak up against the alleged chemical attacks.

"We call on everyone who has a conscience, who is on the side of life, to raise their voices and take action against this crime against humanity and crimes of war," read a statement by KCK’s health committee, reported by the ANF.

#1  Lets see,
Option 1: the Turks dropped a bunch of nth-hand obtained chem shells on PKK positions, which isn't that unfeasible from a logistics point of view as a LOT of world's black market crap end up around Anatolia but the lack of actual offensive NBC warfare structure / training or chem agent inventory in Turk Army & AF makes this much less feasible

OR The option 2, Turk Arty hit "something" that were in these locations (remember the above mentioned black market remark? yea various other Kurdish sub-groups are generally the middlemen carrying the stuff overland.)

Can't really call it one way or another as Erdogan and his "genius" troubleshooters are also involved.
Expect chem attacks in Turkiye in the coming months before the local 2023 elections, is all I can be certain of.

A security source told Shafaq News Agency that four mortar shells had been launched onto the al-Sawaed village on the outskirts of al-Abara district, northeast of Baquba, injuring a civilian."

A security force rushed to the scene, searching for the sources of the missiles.

It is worth noting that ISIS members are hidden in orchards and villages for the al-Abara; therefore, the area is subjected to frequent attacks by the security forces against the terrorist group.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Senior member of Palestinian terror group Lion’s Den killed in Nablus explosion
[IsraelTimes] Organization accuses Israel of ’assassinating’ Tamer Kilani by attaching a bomb to a cycle of violence, amid crackdown on daily attacks emanating from flashpoint West Bank city

A senior member of a loosely organized Paleostinian terror group known as Lion’s Den was killed early Sunday in a kaboom in the West Bank city of Nablus, with the group claiming Israel "assassinated" him.
Oh no. Anyways...
Tamer Kilani, a top member of the upstart organization — which has claimed near-nightly attacks on Israeli troops and civilians amid a crackdown on Nablus — was killed at approximately 1:30 a.m. when an bomb attached to a cycle of violence detonated in Nablus’s Old City, according to the group and to Paleostinian media reports.

In a statement, Lion’s Den claimed that Israeli forces planted the bomb, although some reports suggested it might have been an accident. The group threatened a "painful response," and called on the public to attend Kilani’s funeral later Sunday.

Video footage allegedly showing the blast was circulating on social media, as was a clip purported to show an Israeli "collaborator" planting the bomb.

The Israel Defense Forces did not publically comment on the earth-shattering kaboom and the member’s death.

Hebrew-language military correspondents, who are regularly briefed off-the-record by bigwigs, said Kilani was directly involved in sending a Paleostinian man to attempt to commit a "large-scale" attack in Tel Aviv last month, among several more shooting attacks in the Nablus area.

The reports also said he was previously locked away
Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages!
by Israel.

Tensions in the Nablus area have ratcheted up in recent weeks, with Israel’s military placing a cordon around the Paleostinian city to crack down on Lion’s Den.

Lion’s Den has grabbed credit for the majority of shooting attacks in the Nablus area since it was formed in August by members of various terror groups, including people previously affiliated with the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade and Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
, among others.

One Israeli soldier was killed in an attack by the group and a second person was lightly injured in a separate assault on civilian vehicles. The other attacks have been ineffectual, but videos of the shootings uploaded to social media have helped it win it massive popularity on the Paleostinian street in a short period of time.

The group, based in Nablus’s Old City, is believed to consist of several dozen members, mostly young, secular men, who eschew any proper hierarchy, unlike other armed factions in the West Bank. Israeli officials have labeled the group as a "terror squad."

While most other unorganized popular resistance involves attacking troops conducting operations inside Paleostinian cities, Lion’s Den members do not wait for troops to come to them, instead heading outside of the Nablus Old City on an almost nightly basis and attacking Israeli targets in the area, before managing to flee back unscathed, almost every time.

In arrests raids across the West Bank early Sunday, the IDF said troops arrested nine wanted Paleostinians.

[Jpost] The young man was found lying on a path and bleeding from a stab wound in the back, the suspect fled

A 20-year-old man was seriously injured on Sheshet Hayamim Street in Jerusalem on Saturday in a suspected terrorist attack.

A police officer identified the suspect, a 16-year-old Palestinian from Anata in east Jerusalem, chased him into a soccer field where dozens of children from the "Blue Sky" team were training in Sheikh Jerrah - very close to the national headquarters of the police.

The officer called on the suspect to stop while aiming his sidearm at him. The suspect reached a dead end, turned toward the officer, brandished a knife - and was shot. He was evacuated to hospital in critical condition.

East Iran city, scene of bloody crackdown, sees new protests
[An Nahar] A city in Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
that was the scene of a bloody crackdown last month awoke to new destruction on Saturday, state TV showed, after tensions erupted the day before.

In Zahedan, a southeastern city with an ethnic Baluch population, protests after Friday prayers left the city battered. Shops gaped open to the street, their windows smashed. Sidewalks were littered with broken glass. ATMs were damaged. Cleaning crews came out, sweeping debris from vandalized stores.

The outburst of protests in Zahedan came as demonstrations across Iran continue over the the Sept. 16 death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini in the custody of the country's morality police. Although the protests first focused on the country's mandatory hijab, they have transformed into the greatest challenge to the Islamic Theocratic Republic since the 2009 Green Movement over disputed elections. Security forces have dispersed gatherings with live ammunition and tear gas, leaving over 200 people dead, according to rights groups.

Violence first broke out in the restive city of Zahedan on Sept. 30 — a day that activists describe as the deadliest since the nationwide protests began. Outrage spread after allegations that a Baluch teenager had been raped by a police officer, fueling deep tensions in the underdeveloped region home to minority Sunni Moslems in the Shiite theocracy.

Rights groups say dozens of people were killed in what residents refer to as "Bloody Friday," as security forces opened fire on the crowds. The Oslo-based group Iran Human Rights puts the corpse count at more than 90. Iranian authorities have described the Zahedan violence as involving unnamed separatists, without providing details or evidence.

With anger simmering over the deadly crackdown, unrest in the city flared again on Friday, according to video footage that purportedly showed crowds gathering after noon prayers in Zahedan chanting "I will kill the one who killed my brother!" The scale of the festivities remained unclear, but Iranian state TV aired footage of the aftermath, blaming 150 "rioters" for the trail of destruction.

The state-run IRNA news agency said protesters shouted slogans, hurled stones at motorists and damaged banks and other private property. Authorities said they arrested 57 demonstrators, among the estimated thousands who have landed in jail over the protests. The provincial police commander, Ahmad Taheri, said security forces were searching for more culprits.

Syria reports Israeli airstrikes on suburbs of Damascus
[An Nahar] Israel carried out an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
on the Syrian capital of Damascus and its southern suburbs late Friday, in the first such attack in more than a month, state media reported. There were no casualties in the strikes.

The Syrian military said later that several Israeli missiles were fired toward some military positions near Damascus. It said Syrian air defenses shot down most of the missiles, adding that there was only material losses.
Always, it’s most. And then the cement trucks start up again to patch the airport runways.
Residents in the capital earlier said they heard at least three explosions.

Syrian state TV said Syrian air defenses responded to "an Israeli aggression in the airspace of Damascus and southern areas."

The pro-government Sham FM radio station said the attacks were close to the Damascus International Airport south of the capital.

Friday's strikes were the first since Sept. 17, when an Israeli attack on the Damascus International Airport and nearby military posts south of the Syrian capital killed five soldiers. That attack came days after an Israeli strike shit the main airport in the northern city of Aleppo.

Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes on targets inside government-controlled parts of Syria in recent years, but rarely acknowledges or discusses such operations.

Israel has acknowledged, however, that it targets bases of Iran-allied krazed killer groups, such as Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
's Hezbollah, which has sent thousands of fighters to support Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Horror of Homs...
's forces.

The Israeli strikes comes amid a wider shadow war between the country and Iran. The attacks on the airports in Damascus and Aleppo are over fears it was being used to funnel Iranian weaponry into the country.
Courtesy of badanov, Regnum adds:
Syrian air defense systems destroyed two cruise missiles and four guided bombs fired by the Israeli Air Force F-16 at Damascus and Dimas airports.
More from Rudaw:
"The Israeli enemy carried out air strikes from the northeastern direction of Lake Tiberias, targeting some points near Damascus," said a defence ministry statement, adding that it had intercepted most missiles.

Earlier in the evening Syria's official news agency SANA said that Syrian air defences had intercepted Israeli missiles over Damascus and the southern region.

The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the strikes targeted Syrian military sites near Damascus International Airport and in the southern countryside of Damascus.

Kurdish detainee Ramin Fatehi tortured to death in Sanandaj, brother tells Rudaw
[Rudaw] A Kurdish detainee died on Friday night after being tortured in Sanandaj, the city which has become the epicenter of the nationwide anti-government protests in Iran, with his body being secretly buried by agents of the ministry of intelligence, Rudaw English has learned.

Ramin Fatehi, 47, and a father of one was detained on October 13 by agents of Iran's ministry of intelligence outside the city of Sanandaj city as he was driving his pick-up truck. The agents then proceeded to his family home where they detained another brother named Voria, and the following morning, their sister Rada was taken.

"We did not have any news about them over the past nine days that have been taken," his brother Chiako Fatehi told Rudaw English via telephone. "My family went to the intelligence office but were not given any news about my siblings."

"Last night, they called a relative and said that Ramin has died and asked him to come and identify the body," Chiako Fatehi said. "By the time the relative arrived in their office it was around 10:30 and then they only allowed him to see his face and not examine his body." The agents then appear to have taken the body to the Behesht Mohamadi cemetery in Sanandaj where they buried Ramin Fatehi without any family members present.
"Covid death"
"Today we received information from a very reliable source that Ramin died under torture and he did not commit suicide as the authorities claim," Chiako said as he cried during the phone call.

Fatehi said that he does not know why his brother Ramin was detained in the first place. "I don't even know whether he took part in the protest but I can tell you more than 80 percent of the people of Sanandaj have taken part," Chiako Fatehi, a Peshmerga of the leftist Komala party told Rudaw Englsih from Sulaimani.

Chiako Fatehi said that his brother became a Peshmerga of Komala from 2015 until 2017 when he travelled to Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
illegally through a network of human smugglers. He was detained by Serbian authorities and handed back to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
where he was transferred from back to Iran's ministry of intelligence custody.

At least 215 people have been killed by the security forces and the protest have seen no sign of abating despite claims by the Iranian authorities that the protests have effectively come to an end. As of Saturday afternoon, Kurdish areas have gone on strike with businesses shutting down and a number of universities and thousands of factory workers across Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites....
on strike.
