-Lurid Crime Tales-
Texas police seize 3.1 million lethal doses of fentanyl in single traffic stop
Texas state troopers seized 3.1 million lethal doses of fentanyl during a single traffic stop in the border town of Mission this week, Gov. Greg Abbott
... governor of Texas. Abbott is a Republican. His 2014 Dem opponent, state senatrix Wendy Davis, thought the absolute, most pressing, most important issue facing the state was abortion. Abbott beat the pantyhose off her. His 2018 opponent, Lupe Valdez didn't dwell too heavily on abortion, but she lost too...
said.
The drugs, which have a street value of about $312,000, marked one of the largest seizures to date by Operation Lone Star, which was launched by Abbott in 2021 to crack down on crime in border communities.

Police pulled over Mario Reyna Cantu, a 39-year-old Mexican national, for a traffic violation while he was driving a black Cadillac SUV on Monday.

During the stop, a trooper discovered five bundles of a white powdery substance that tested positive for fentanyl on the scene, as well as at a state Department of Public Safety crime lab.

"Because of this single seizure, millions of lethal doses of fentanyl will not make their way into communities across our state, and really our country, and millions of lives are potentially saved," Texas DPS Director Steven McCraw said in a statement.

#1  3.1 MM doses with a street value of $0.31MM. Imagine how cheap it is to actually make. For the cartels, this is just the cost of doing business. Wouldn't be surprised if this was just a red herring to cover for the actual shipment.

-War on Police-
Man, 18, charged with killing CPD Officer Andres Vasquez Lasso pleads not guilty
[WGNTV] The man accused of killing a reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
cop last month entered a not guilty plea Wednesday.

Steven Montano, 18, answered a few "yes or no" questions during the court hearing, before his public defender entered the plea of not guilty.

Montano is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of police Officer Andres Vásquez Lasso. He is also facing a number of additional felony charges.

Montano is being held without bond.

On March 1, Vásquez Lasso was investigating a domestic-related call in the 5200 block of South Spaulding and saw Montano running from the scene with a gun.

Court records say Officer Vásquez Lasso started chasing him, and the two men exchanged gunfire. The officer was shot several times and was killed.

Montano was shot and transported to a hospital at death's door, but has since been released and is currently in Cook County Jail.

Dozens of coppers were inside and outside of the courtroom Wednesday to show their support.

The judge allowed each of Montano’s family members to hug Montano, which police inside the courtroom were not happy about. The last family member to hug the 18-year-old was his father, who spoke to him in Spanish.

After several warnings from the judge to stop, Montano and his father were both taken back. His father is now being held with contempt. The contempt hearing will be held later Wednesday afternoon.

The judge also ruled that the information pertaining to the case including COPA’s investigation with not be made public until the trial.

Montano’s next court date is scheduled for June 7.

#1  The Judge is obviously not a SOROS paid judge, as the POS was once again denied bail. As the Judge was adamantly clear about how he feels. He told the POS, accused of killing Chicago LEO Andres Vasquez Lasso, “you murdered him in cold blood” and “you were caught on the scene red-handed.”

The defense initially tried to claim an accidental shooting, but shot the LEO 3x's.

Plus, he MURDERED the LEO in front of kids, on the playground schoolyard of Sawyer Elementary School.

Last year, he was involved in another shooting incident in the Little Village neighborhood. However, the SORO's DA dropped criminal charges and had Montano complete 25 hours of community service for the shooting involvement and party to stealing a get-away car.

This current incident, all started with this 18 y/o POS (Montano) was at his 37 y/o girlfriend's. Where he became so violent that she ran and called 9-1-1 and warned them he had a firearm before he grabbed the phone and hung it up.

QUESTIONS:
Will the Soro's funded DA seek probation or just time served ?

How did this happen, given he's only 18 y/o and in the #1 GUN CONTROL LSD city in the USA?

Or does this prove once again prove only the citizens are did-armed, not the Thugs and crazies in gun control cities.

Afghanistan
Daily Evacuation Brief April 13, 2023
[AfghanDigest] LAST 24 HOURS
CORRECTION: We incorrectly reported the affiliation of the Resistance Force members who were killed in clashes that occurred in the North recently as members of the National Resistance Front. They were in fact members of the Freedom Front. The mistake was made in the 12 April issue of the Daily Evacuation Brief and a correction will be made. The TAD Staff apologizes for this discrepancy.

  • FAMILY MEMBERS OF POPULAR FREEDOM FRONT COMMANDER ROUNDED UP AND DETAINED – GDI agents conducted search operations in Kabul to find family members and associates of Akmal Amir (recently reported to have been killed in either Parwan or Panjshir). His house was reportedly burned to the ground and approximately 70 of his relatives have been arrested. Unconfirmed reports say that some early morning clashes took place between the Taliban and AFF forces in the city but these have yet to be confirmed. There are also rumors circulating that Amir was not killed. The situation remains highly confusing.

  • CHINA ISSUES ITS POSITION PAPER ON AFGHANISTAN – China used the paper to clarify its bilateral relations with Afghanistan. Three of the key engagement points were focused on terrorism and China spelled out specific concerns over the existence of the East Turkistan Islamic Movement in Afghanistan. The document lashed out at the US and urged US leaders to unfreeze Afghanistan’s international holdings while also warning the US against redeploying military assets to the region. A synopsis of the paper can be accessed HERE.

  • MONEYCHANGER MURDERED IN KHOST – Unidentified gunmen shot and killed a moneychanger in his stall at the exchange market in Khost’s capital on Wednesday. The murder prompted a protest by other money changers who accused the Taliban of not doing enough to protect their businesses. Some even accused the Taliban of participating in schemes to force money changers to issue loans to them that are never paid. The Taliban responded by saying they had assisted in a rescue of a kidnapped money changer earlier in the week and that they had arrested 6 men who (they say) were claiming to be Taliban security forces. There were no casualties reported during the protest.

  • EDUCATION DEPARTMENT BUILDING BURNED IN PANJSHIR – The Directorate of Education building caught fire and burned well into the morning in Panjshir. Local eyewitnesses reported gunfire shortly before the fire occurred. There have been attacks against many schools across the country since the Taliban rose to power and notes have been discovered that appear to criticize secular education while praising Madrassas. It is not clear if the incident in Panjshir involved arson at this time.

CONFLICT TRACKER
Kabul: A blast was reported at approximately 2030hrs local in the Kart-e Naw neighborhood (Police District 8). Shortly after the blast, reports of gunfire were received. There have been unverified reports that an ISIS-K hideout may have been raided by the Taliban.

NEXT 24 HOURS
  • PAKISTAN ON ALERT IN KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA – Security forces in the Province have been placed on high alert after receiving intelligence that a suicide bomber (Abdullah Badshah Gul) had entered Kurram and may be planning to conduct a suicide attack against the Shiah community in Parachinar. Security forces are actively searching for the man. At-risk Afghans in the area are advised to avoid Shiah community/religious centers while the threat continues.

  • FOREIGN MINISTER’S MEETING TO CONVENE IN UZBEKISTAN TODAY – Officials from Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, China, Pakistan, and Russia will open the Fourth Foreign Minister’s Dialogue on Afghanistan in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The Taliban have lobbied extensively to be included in the meetings but the regional powers have not allowed them to participate. Security in Samarkand and Tashkent is said to be extremely tight and there were several security alerts issued over possible ETIM or ISIS-K plans to attempt to disrupt the gathering.

Six inmates found hanged in Ecuador prison
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Prison guards at a violence-plagued penitentiary complex in Ecuador’s largest city on Wednesday found six inmates hanged, prison authorities said.

The SNAI prison administration authority told AFP the six bodies were found in their cells at the jail in the southwestern port city of Guayaquil, which is plagued with drug trafficking-related violence.

The Guayaquil prison complex has been the site of Ecuador’s worst jail massacres in recent years caused by gang rivalries.

The bodies were found "while checking the pavilions," SNAI said in a statement.
"They were sentenced to life. They completed their sentences"
Authorities did not say whether the inmates’ bodies showed any signs of violence, nor whether they belonged to gangs.

The grisly discovery comes a day after around 30 button men shot up a fishing port in northwestern Ecuador, killing nine, in an attack Interior Minister Juan Zapata blamed on a territorial fight between gangs.

The hanged inmates were found in pavilion number five of the Guayas 1 prison, which houses 6,800 inmates and is part of the massive penitentiary complex.

Local media have reported that the pavilion is controlled by a gang known as Las Aguilas (the eagles), which extorts other prisoners.

Both Guayaquil and the northwestern Esmeraldas province where Tuesday’s attack took place have been hard hit by a surge in violence in Ecuador.

On March 3, President Guillermo Lasso declared a state of emergency in Guayaquil and Esmeraldas.

Since February 2021, there have been eight prison massacres in which more than 400 inmates have been killed, many dismembered or burned.

Gangs that vie for control of the lucrative trafficking trade have often controlled operations from within the prison system.

Iranian-born US woman given 4 years over plot to kidnap dissident Masih Alinejad
[IsraelTimes] Niloufar Bahadorifar provided financial support for ’brazen plot’ to abduct Iranian human rights
...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you...
self-proclaimed genius living in US whom Tehran has sought to silence for years, US attorney says

An Iranian-born American woman has been sentenced to four years in prison for providing financial support to a plot to kidnap dissident Iranian-American self-proclaimed genius Masih Alinejad, the Justice Department said Monday.

Niloufar Bahadorifar, 48, of Irvine, Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,, pleaded guilty in December to multiple charges, including conspiring to violate US sanctions by giving material support to Iran.

The Justice Department said Bahadorifar was sentenced by US District Judge Ronnie Abrams on Friday to four years in prison followed by three years of supervised release.

"Bahadorifar provided financial support to a brazen plot intended to kidnap an Iranian human rights self-proclaimed genius living in the United States, whom the Iranian government has sought to silence for years," US attorney Damian Williams said in a statement.

Bahadorifar was convicted of laundering money into the United States from Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
that was used to pay for private Sherlocks to conduct surveillance of Alinejad on behalf of an alleged Iranian intelligence agent, Mahmoud Khazein.

Khazein and three other alleged Iranian agents are wanted by the FBI in connection with the suspected plot to kidnap Alinejad, who lives in New York, and take her back to Iran.

Bahadorifar was accused of making cash deposits of more than $476,100 into accounts in the United States since 2019, structuring most of the deposits in increments of less than $10,000 to avoid detection by the US financial authorities.

Bahadorifar was not accused of participating in the kidnapping conspiracy itself and her lawyers argued that she was an unwitting dupe.

"The government of Iran has shown that it will take extreme measures to silence dissidents and critics around the world exercising their lawful rights, including through the use of violence on US soil," Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen said.

"We hold accountable an individual who violated US sanctions by providing financial assistance that ultimately supported a failed kidnapping plot directed by the Iranian government."

Alinejad, who is known for her criticism of Iran’s holy manal regime, including its requirement that women wear veils, was also the target of a separate Tehran-backed liquidation plot, according to US authorities.

Iranian authorities have denied any involvement in the alleged plots targeting Alinejad.

3 terrorists killed in Bajaur IBO: ISPR
[Dawn] Three bad boyz were potted by security forces during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Loesum area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur district, the military’s media affairs wing said on Wednesday.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on Tuesday, during which an intense exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists.

"Resultantly, three holy warriors were sent to hell," the statement said, adding that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from their custody.

The ISPR said the slain holy warriors were "actively involved in multiple terrorist activities against security forces as well as extortion and murders of innocent citizens".

"Locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support for security forces, determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the area," the ISPR statement said.

The development comes a day after three bad boyz were potted during an intelligence-based operation in KP’s Bannu district. According to the ISPR, these forces of Evil were also "actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and killing of innocent citizens".

Over the past few months, the law and order situation in the country has worsened, with terrorist groups executing attacks with near impunity across the country.

Since the talks with the Tehrik-e-Taliban

Pakistain (TTP) broke down in November last year, the bully boy group intensified its attacks, particularly targeting the police in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and areas bordering Afghanistan. Insurgents in Balochistan

have also stepped up their violent mostly peaceful activities and formalised a nexus with the TTP.

According to statistics released by the Pakistain Institute for Conflict and Security Studies, an Islamabad-based think-tank, January 2023 remained one of the deadliest months since July 2018, as 134 people bit the dust — a 139 per cent spike — and 254 received injuries in at least 44 bully boy attacks across the country.

IDF arrests alleged Palestinian terror cell planning ‘imminent attack’
[IsraelTimes] No reports of soldiers hurt during operation in northern West Bank city of Jenin; footage shows bomb detonated near army vehicle

Israeli forces on Tuesday morning captured an alleged Paleostinian terror cell planning an "imminent attack" during a raid in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, the military said.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, troops of the elite Duvdevan unit, the Paratroopers Brigade’s reconnaissance battalion, and the Yamas — the Border Police’s elite undercover counter-terrorism unit — entered Jenin and detained the five suspects.

The troops seized "military equipment" and returned fire at Paleostinian button men who were shooting at them and hurling bombs during the operation, the IDF said.

A local wing of the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad

Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
claimed its members opened fire and activated explosives against the Israeli forces.

Footage published by Paleostinian media outlets showed an improvised bomb being detonated near an IDF vehicle. There were no reports of soldiers hurt.

The IDF said Paleostinian button men were hit by troops’ gunfire. The Paleostinian Authority’s official Wafa news agency said one Paleostinian was maimed by shrapnel.

According to the IDF, the five suspects were part of a "terror cell that planned to carry out an attack in an immediate time frame."

Surveillance camera footage shared online showed one of the suspects being detained.

Two additional suspects were arrested in other areas of the West Bank during overnight raids, the IDF said.

Troops, meanwhile, were still searching for the Paleostinian faceless myrmidons who carried out a deadly shooting attack in the Jordan Valley on Friday, and they were thought to be hiding in the northern West Bank.

The raids on Tuesday came as tensions have soared across the region in recent days, with a rocket attack from Syria on Saturday night; a barrage of rockets from Leb

IDF: 2 Palestinian gunmen trying to carry out attack shot dead by troops near Nablus Tuesday
[IsraelTimes] Soldiers spot suspects opening fire from passing car at military post near Elon Moreh settlement, ambush them; several firearms seized at the scene

Two Paleostinian button men were shot and killed by Israeli troops while attempting to carry out an attack near Nablus in the northern West Bank on Tuesday afternoon, the military said.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, troops stationed outside the Paleostinian town of Deir al-Hatab identified a number of Paleostinian button men opening fire from a passing vehicle at a military post near the adjacent settlement of Elon Moreh.

The troops of the 636th Combat Intelligence Collection Battalion ambushed the button men, killing two, a military source said. A third was reportedly maimed and fled toward the Nablus area.

The IDF said three M16 assault rifles and two handguns were seized at the scene from the suspects and following searches in the area.

The button men were named as Saud al-Titi and Muhammad Abu Dara al-Boub, from the Balata refugee camp on the outskirts of Nablus.

The local gang of the Balata refugee camp identified the two men members, sharing photos of them brandishing M-16s in the camp. al-Titi had previously spent 15 years in Israeli prison, the group said.

"We fought as soldiers and we promise we will always be soldiers," al-Titi said in a video after being freed from prison last spring.

The Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry said it was notified of their deaths, indicating their bodies were being held by the IDF.

No Israeli soldiers were hurt in the attempted attack, the IDF said.

In a separate incident on Tuesday, an unarmed Paleostinian man was detained after lunging at Border Police officers in the southern West Bank town of Hebron.

According to a police front man, the 23-year-old resident of Hebron attacked officers near the city’s Cave of the Patriarchs, known to Moslems as the Ibrahimi Mosque.

One of the officers opened fire into the air while another tackled the man to the ground, the front man said, adding that the suspect was lightly hurt.

Earlier on Tuesday, the IDF said troops captured an alleged Paleostinian terror cell planning an "imminent attack" during a raid in the northern West Bank city of Jenin.

The incidents on Tuesday came as tensions have soared across the region in recent days, with a rocket attack from Syria on Saturday night; a barrage of rockets from Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...

...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip and Israeli strikes over the past week; festivities at the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem’s Temple Mount; terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank; and a suspected Iranian drone launched from Syria last week.

Tensions between Israel and the Paleostinians have been high for the past year, with the IDF conducting near-nightly raids in the West Bank amid a series of deadly Paleostinian terror attacks.

At least 92 Paleostinians have been killed since the beginning of the year, most of them while carrying out attacks or during festivities with security forces, but some were uninvolved civilians and others were killed under circumstances that are being investigated.

Paleostinian attacks in Israel and the West Bank have left 19 people dead since the beginning of the year.

CENTCOM announces that US forces arrest an ISIS facilitator and two assistants in eastern Syria
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Wednesday that US forces conducted a helicopter raid in eastern Syria on April 8, capturing Hudayfah al Yemen

(ISIS) attack, and two of his associates.

The CENTCOM tweeted that arresting the ISIS controller and his lovers assistants "will disrupt the organization’s ability to plot and carry out operations."

Joe Buccino, the CENTCOM spokesperson said, "Operations against ISIS are important for the security and stability of the region."

In addition, he stressed that ISIS still poses a great threat to the region and the world, as the group "retains the capability to conduct operations in Iraq and Syria with a desire to strike beyond the Middle East."

The CENTCOM said that such kind of operations "reaffirms our commitment to the enduring defeat of ISIS."
Rudaw adds:
The statement of CENTCOM reveals that the operation was carried out on Saturday evening in eastern Syria, without providing a more specific location, adding that no civilians were harmed.

The three detainees were identified as Hudaydah al Yemen

UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) first reported the story on Sunday, saying that the turbans were captured as a result of a joint-operation by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces and a counterterrorism group from the Kurdistan Region, with the support of helicopters of the US-led global coalition against ISIS.

SOHR did not identify which party the counterterrorism group belonged to.

The SDF and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) have seemingly developed closer relations in recent months, with their links first exposed in March when a helicopter carrying SDF counter-terror forces crashed in Duhok due to bad weather, killing nine. The forces were going to Sulaimani for training, three months after PUK leader Bafel Talabani visited northeast Syria (Rojava) and discussed joint anti-terror efforts with Abdi.

About a thousand US troops stationed in Syria are part of an international coalition that has fought ISIS in the country since 2014. The coalition has been an ally of the SDF since 2017, providing the forces with weapons, military equipment, and advisers.
