-Lurid Crime Tales-
Suffolk County New York DA charges 21 gang members and associates of '9-Trey Bloods' in 197-count indictment
[FoxNews] Suffolk County 197-count indictment includes charges of drug distribution, as well as firearm possession and sales on Long Island.

Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney shares why he supports the 'Death by Dealer' law and why he wants to end bail reform legislation that puts drug dealers back on the street on 'Fox News Live.'

The Suffolk County, New York District Attorney announced a 197-count indictment charging 21 members and associates of the "9-Trey Bloods" street gang with mostly narcotics and weapons trafficking offenses.

Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney made the announcement with Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr., and Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney K. Harrison on Monday, saying the 197-count indictment includes six conspiracies to distribute and possess narcotics and firearms, dating back to December 2021.

"In Suffolk County, we had over 350 young people die last year from fentanyl," Tierney said. "That is more young people from Suffolk County than those who died during all the years of Vietnam War put together. We can’t stand by and let this continue."

In early 2022, members of the Suffolk County Fentanyl Task Force, East End Drug Task Force and Gang Violence Task Force, along with several other agencies and departments, kicked off an investigation into members and associates of the "9-Trey Bloods," who were moving drugs and firearms while committing violent acts in Suffolk County.

The investigation led to the execution of over 190 search warrants into homes, vehicles, cellphones and other digital sources. It also resulted in thousands of hours of surveillance and intelligence, ultimately revealing the scope of the narcotics and firearm operations.

The investigation also resulted in a three-month grand jury presentation that charged 18 of the 21 defendants with six separate conspiracies related to narcotics and weapons trafficking and possession.

Twenty-one of the defendants were indicted on 63 separate criminal acts dating back to December 2021, including the possession of 12 illegal firearms, nine large capacity magazines, a gang-related shooting, the sale of fentanyl that led to a fatal overdose, several undercover narcotics transactions, and possession with intent to sell multiple controlled substances.

One of the incidents occurred on Nov. 13, 2022, when Justin Llewellyn allegedly sold Yasmin DeLeon, 25, and another individual fentanyl and crack cocaine at a hotel in Ronkonkoma, New York.

The morning after the deal, DeLeon was unresponsive, and Llewellyn entered the room to administer Narcan before police arrived.

Llewellyn was arrested on the scene and was allegedly in possession of fentanyl and other narcotics. A search of his car, Tierney said, resulted in drug paraphernalia like scales and an overdose kit containing unused Narcan.

He was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and second-degree conspiracy for conspiring to sell narcotics.

Also charged in the indictment are Amina Atelek, 22, of Deer Park; Charles Cooper, 36, of Shirley; Dajuan Davis, 40, of Central Park; Kellie Gibbs, 39, of Huntington; Michael Grodner, 58, of Huntington; Henna Harris, 47, of Central Islip; Osvaldo Hernandez, 47, of the Bronx; Cynthia Hermann, 65, of Sayville; Michael Horn, 31, of Deer Park; Steven Hunt, 42, of Brentwood; Robert Jenkins, 62, of Bay Shore; Davon Lawrence, 31, of Huntington Station; Travis Lawrence, 35, of Ronkonkoma; Tyree Lawrence, 30, of Ronkonkoma; Terrence Lee, 33, of Riverhead; Richard Owns, 33, of Ronkonkoma; and George Rodriguez, 48, of Medford.

According to Tierney, nine of the 21 defendants were arrested and arraigned before the Honorable Richard I. Horowitz.

Eleven of those who were indicted are charged offenses that are eligible for bail – eight of those defendants are in custody, one posted bond and one is at large.

Hemetti appears in Khartoum with his troops defying Burhan
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, also known as “Hemetti,” the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, along with his brother, who is the deputy commander Abdel Rahim Daglo, separately appeared in the Sudanese capital on Saturday to demonstrate their presence among their fighters.

In an interview with Alarabiya TV, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the Commander in Chief of the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF), stated that nobody knows where Hemetti is, and even his forces are unaware of his location. Al-Burhan further revealed that he was at the SAF General Command in Khartoum overseeing military operations against the rebellious RSF leader.

The Sudanese army took control of the RSF premises in the capital in order to disturb their command and prevent them from coordinating their military operation.

After al-Burhan’s statements, Abel Rahim Daglo appeared in an area identified in the Eastern Nile town, challenging al-Burhan to leave his command room in the basement of the army command and fight with his soldiers on the streets. The RSF’s second commander appeared in a military uniform and was holding a gun.

On the same day, the Saudi-funded Alarabiya released another interview with Hemetti, reaffirming that he was in Khartoum with his troops visiting the wounded and killed soldiers before adding that “What al-Burhan said is bullshit, and I will not reply to him.”

A few hours later, a militiaman released another video on social media of a convoy of RSF vehicles firing bullets in the air before stopping at a position they control. When he approached one of the vehicles, appeared Hemetti in military uniform sitting inside the vehicle with a gun in his left hand.

The RSF commander greeted the fighter and asked him to delete the video. However, it is not clear why he posted it, compromising the security of their leader.

The Sudanese army has stated that it plans to launch ground operations to clear the capital of the paramilitary forces.

427 dead, thousands injured due to conflict in Sudan: OCHA
[SUDANTRIBUNE] At least 427 people have died across the country, with over 3,700 injured as result of the conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and Rapid Support Forces (RSF), the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Sudan said on Friday.

The festivities, which started in April 15, have shown no sign of letting up in Sudan’s capital despite repeated calls for ceasefire from the international community.

OCHA said an aid worker from the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) was killed two days ago after the "vehicle he was traveling in with his family south of El Obeid, North Kordofan, was caught in a crossfire between warring parties".

This, it stated, brings to five the total number of aid workers killed since April 15.

The UN humanitarian agency, citing the IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix, also cited an increased in displacement due to fighting and dwindling basic commodities have also been reported across the states of Khartoum, El Gezira, Sennar, White Nile, River Nile and El Gedaref.

Reports estimated that between 7,500 and 8,000 people have been displaced from El Obeid and are currently seeking refuge, following fierce SAF-RSF festivities.

In North Darfur’s capital of El Fasher, an estimated 10,000 to 20,000 displaced people, most of whom were women and kiddies, arrived in Chad on Friday.

South Sudan’s IOM representative in Juba Peter Van Der Auweraert said that at least 2,000 people arrived in the capital today, according multiple media reports.

He, however, said they expect more vulnerable people to come at a later stage, as many of the people who made it to Juba "had the means to make it here".

Buhari Government To Evacuate Nigerians Stranded In Warring Sudan By Road
[SAHARAREPORTERS] The government of President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed its plans to evacuate Nigerian nationals who are stranded in Sudan due to the ongoing conflict in the Northeast African country.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama on Sunday night during a live programme on Channels Television said 5,500 Nigerians were ready for evacuation.

He said, "We have been given the cost estimate and all the details. They gave us a figure of 5,500 who are ready for evacuation.

"Obviously, what you need in a situation like this is a place where everybody can congregate before you start moving them out. Because the airports, as you pointed out in your report, it is out of commission. The only viable way out is by road.

"But of course, it is not totally safe so you are going to require the government to provide some security and a safe corridor out."

They were also punished for dressing in ways the officials consider to be offensive to Islam.

According to the state deputy commandant, Mallam Abdurrahaman Musa, the Islamic police decided to shave their hair because the hairstyle was against "the norms and values of the people of Borno State."

Despite condemnation from Nigerians, the Hisbah group has continued its push for an Islamic agenda in the North.

The agency, established to enforce Sharia law has banned stylish haircuts, sagging of trousers, playing of music at social events by disk jockeys and tricycle riders from adorning their vehicles with pictures considered to be obscene and against the tenets of Islam in some states in the North.

A barber and his customers were in 2021 arrested in Kano State for giving and having haircuts which were considered to be offensive to Islam.

Caribbean-Latin America
Mexican Navy seizes 11,520 tequila bottles full of liquid meth from Pacific seaport
[FoxNews] Mexican Navy inspectors have intercepted 11,520 tequila bottles bound for export that actually contained nearly 10 tons of concentrated liquid meth, the Navy said Monday.

The discovery was made over the weekend at the Pacific coast seaport of Manzanillo, the Navy said. It said the bottles contained approximately 19,000 pounds of meth.

Photos of the seizure show a sniffer dog alerting inspectors to cardboard boxes of glass bottles full of a brownish liquid, consistent with the color of "añejo" or aged tequila. The labels on the bottles were not visible.

Mexico is the world's only producer of authentic tequila. While there have not been any reported instances of such bottles reaching consumers, ingesting the mixture would be immensely dangerous.

Mexico has become a major producer of meth, and drug smugglers frequently are stopped at the border with liquid meth in their windshield washer fluid or other containers in their cars.

The liquid meth is usually recovered by the smugglers and taken to specialized facilities where the water is extracted and then returned to its usually crystal form.

Europe
20 feared dead in shipwrecks off Italy
[Dawn] More than 20 people are feared drowned in three different shipwrecks within 24 hours, Italia’s coastguard said on Monday, as good weather prompted fresh attempts at the perilous sea crossing from Africa.

Survivors from one boat that went down in Malta’s search and rescue area told officials about 20 people on board were missing, a coastguard statement said.

Three people had been reported missing earlier after another shipwreck in Italian waters about 30 kilometres (20 miles) from the island of Lampedusa.

A body was later recovered from a third boat that sank in Malta’s waters.

All three boats were intercepted by Italian authorities, when 1,200 people were rescued and brought to Lampedusa, the coastguard said.

"During last night and up until now, 35 boats have been rescued from the Tunisian route alone," it said, adding that around 20 more vessels remained at sea.

Tunisia, with a coastline less than 150 kilometres (90 miles) from Lampedusa, is a favoured stepping stone for migrants colonists attempting the Mediterranean crossing.

The flow of African migrants colonists has intensified since President Kais Saied made a fiery

speech on February 21 claiming illegal immigration was a demographic threat to Tunisia.

The North African country is in the grip of a long, worsening economic crisis that has pushed many of its citizens to take desperate measures in search of better lives abroad.

Chiara Cardoletti, the UN refugee agency (UNHCR) representative for Italia, had confirmed the numbers missing at sea, offering condolences to their families.

On Twitter, she called for urgent action to "stabilise the situation in Tunisia, to reduce the reasons that drive so many people to risk their lives at sea".

Survivors of the shipwreck in which 20 people were feared drowned said six minors had been aboard their seven-metre-long boat, which was rescued by a fishing vessel, the Repubblica daily reported. Those saved hailed from Burkina Faso

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s new hard-right government took office in October promising to stop the boat landings. But the numbers of people crossing the central Mediterranean have soared in recent months.

Syrian refugee stabbed to death in Turkey
[NPASYRIA] On Sunday, a Syrian refugee departed this vale of tears after being stabbed by a group of Ottoman Turkish youths in Kilis, southern The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
The Turkey-based Human rights screeching muppet Taha Ghazi told North Press that the 19-year-old Muhammad Farid al-Shar, from Idlib, in northwestern Syria, was stabbed twice in the border city of Kilis, after which he was transferred to the city hospital, where he departed this vale of tears.

The screeching muppet added that al-Shar was with a number of his Syrian friends, when they were intercepted by a group of Ottoman Turkish youths who accused them of making provocative movements. The confrontation escalated into a fight and the Syrian youth was stabbed.

The uncle of the dear departed teenager told North Press that his nephew asked his father to go to the market to repair his mobile phone, and while he was on his way to the market with his friends, a number of Ottoman Turkish youths confronted them and stabbed him.

Syrians in Turkey have been subject to repeated attacks with racist motives that have increased over the past three years, which have led, according to local press, to the killing and wounding of dozens of Syrians.

Blast at Swat police station claims 12 lives
[Dawn] At least a dozen people, including police officials, bit the dust in a powerful explosion inside the Kabal cop shoppe late on Monday evening.

According to hospital sources, at least 57 people — including three civilians — sustained injuries in the blast.

The explosion that rocked the cop shoppe, which reportedly occurred on the premises of the Counter Terrorism Department office, came hours after a raid by the CTD in Lakki Marwat resulted in the killing of three suspected turbans.

the nature of the earth-shattering kaboom could not be independently confirmed by the time this report went to press.

However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
speaking to media persons later at night, DIG Malakand Nasir Mehmood Satti said the incident was not a result of any terrorist activity or suicide kaboom but "carelessness" as per the initial investigation. He said the earth-shattering kaboom occurred at a weapon storage facility inside an old office of the Counter Terrorism Department on the premises of the cop shoppe.

The police officer, however, said a probe was still underway in light of emerging evidence.

20 TRAPPED UNDER RUBBLE
The blast, which shattered the roof of the cop shoppe, the CTD office, and a mosque located inside the station, was also followed by a fire. According to senior police officials, at least 20 coppers were trapped under the roof, which collapsed due to the intensity of the earth-shattering kaboom.

Imdad Khan, an injured policeman at Saidu Teaching Hospital (STH) said that he was inside the kitchen with other coppers when the powerful blast destroyed the building. "Portion of the kitchen building collapsed. A huge fire also erupted after the blast," he told Dawn, adding that he heard multiple blasts.

In a comment on the number of blasts, the DIG said since the earth-shattering kaboom occurred at the depot due to ammunition stored there, minor blasts also followed.

Emergency was declared in health facilities soon after the earth-shattering kaboom and Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the spot. Security was put on high alert following the earth-shattering kaboom and the area was cordoned off by law enforcement agencies.

Meanwhile,

THREE KILLED IN LAKKI
Among the three slain faceless myrmidons was the alleged killer of a retired military officer who was rubbed out at his residence by gunnies on Sunday.

"A total of three faceless myrmidons including Nouman, who had targeted retired colonel Muqarab Khan, were bumped off in an exchange of fire at the house of a turban commander Zubair of the Tipu Gul group in Paharkhel Tal area within jurisdiction of Lakki Marwat cop shoppe," a senior CTD official disclosed.

The police said the ex-army officer, who had served in an intelligence agency, was receiving guests at his Hujra on the second day of Eidul Fitr when two unidentified gunnies entered the Hujra and fired at him.

Col Khan was killed while the gunnies who had held others in the Hujra hostage at gunpoint managed to escape from the scene, the officials said.

Law enforcement personnel attempted to chase the assailants but they sped away on a cycle of violence towards Darga, a riverine forest.

On Monday, the officials said, Bannu CTD personnel received information about a hideout of turbans. As they reached the hideout, the faceless myrmidons opened fire on them, they said, adding that it seemed around 10 heavily armed faceless myrmidons were well prepared for the encounter.

"Three turbans, including Nouman, were killed and another turban, Tehseenullah, sustained injuries," a senior CTD official said.

However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
he said, the CTD believed other faceless myrmidons had sustained injuries and could be present in the area terming it the reason why a search operation was launched in the area by police and the security forces.

The officials said Inspector Javed Iqbal and Constable Irfan of the CTD were seriously maimed and shifted to the Combined Military Hospital, Bannu, and Khalif Gulnawaz Hospital.

Senior CTD officials said that following the search operation, it was confirmed that an organised turban group was involved in the assassination of the retired military officer.

Poonch terror attack: Around 30 people detained for questioning, hunt on for terrorists

[OneIndia] Around 30 people have been detained for questioning so far as security forces conducted a massive search operation to track down the holy warriors who ambushed an Army truck in Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
's Poonch killing five personnel last week, officials said on Sunday.

Necessary action is being taken against the holy warriors responsible for the deadly attack, the Army's Northern Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi said during an interaction with the personnel who survived the ambush in the dense forest area of Bhata Dhurian on Thursday. A stretch of the Jammu-Poonch national highway which was closed following the ambush was reopened for vehicular traffic on Sunday.

In a tweet on its official handle, the Army's Northern Command shared Lt Gen Dwivedi's visit to the Command Hospital in Udhampur and interaction with the survivor. "Dwivedi interacted with the survivor...and assured that necessary action is underway," it tweeted along with two pictures of the soldier.

Five soldiers were killed and one was injured after the holy warriors attacked the lone Army truck, which was carrying eatables for iftar to a nearby village. The Army's northern commander visited the attack site on Saturday.

The Bhata Dhurian forest area has for long remained a preferred infiltration route for holy warriors from across the Line of Control because of its topography, dense forest cover and natural caves. Dwivedi reviewed the security in the border area and the ongoing combing operation to track down the terrorists.

"Among those rounded up are two couples from Degwar in Poonch -- Iqbal and his wife Mudifa and Salam Din and his wife Rashida," an official source said, adding further investigation was underway. The slain soldiers were from a Rashtriya Rifles unit deployed for counter-terror operations.

Sources earlier said the attack was suspected to have been carried out by a group of three to four terrorists. The attackers possibly spent more than a year in Rajouri and Poonch and had adequate knowledge of the terrain, they added. The Jammu and Kashmir Gaznavi Force (JKGF) is said to be active in the area and its "commander", Rafiq Ahmed alias Rafiq Nayi, hails from the region.

Currently, three-four terrorist groups are active in the region of Rajouri and Poonch, the sources said. The holy warriors who ambushed the Army truck used steel core bullets, capable of piercing an armoured shield, and decamped with the soldiers' weapons, officials said on Sunday.

They said a sniper is believed to have targeted the truck from the front before the other holy warriors sprayed bullets and lobbed grenades on it. Experts from various agencies, including the National Security Guard (NSG) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA), have visited the site of the attack over the past two days and have managed to get a clear picture of the bushwhack which was laid by the terrorists, the officials said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pond, the radioactive tadpoles grown into frogs. Really big frogs, in fact...
members of the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities on Sunday visited an Army unit in the Akhnoor sector here to express their solidarity with the forces. Mohd Akram, who was leading the 113-member-strong community delegation, appealed to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to provide free hand to the Army in tackling the threat of cross-border terrorism.

"We moved from Banihal tehsil in Ramban district to Akhnoor some 25 years back when militancy was at its peak and it was the Army which provided relief to us and ensured that we did not face any problem. We strongly condemn the attack on the troops and our community stands with our soldiers," Akram told news hounds. He said the holy warriors are working at the behest of Pakistain to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir and should be dealt with sternly.

"We request the defence minister to provide a free hand to the Army to tackle with terrorism," he said. A defence front man thanked the community for its concern and said the Gujjars and Bakkarwals are one of the most victimised communities of Pakistain's state-sponsored terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir since the early 90s.

"The community has suffered at length, frequently at the cost of precious lives and property at the hands of holy warriors supported from across the border. These valiant nomadic people have supported the Indian Army in counter insurgency and counter terrorism operations with great courage and conviction," the front man said.

Probe finds Lashkar carried out Poonch strike which killed 5 jawans

[OneIndia] Contrary to the claim made by the Jaish-e-Mohammad
...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf banned the group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat...
, investigations have found that the Lashkar-e-Tayiba was behind the Poonch attack in which five soldiers of the Indian Army were killed.

The security agencies are finding it hard to find the seven hard boyz of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba as they may have escaped through the dense forests. The attack site is 7 kilometres from the Bhimber Ghali at the Line of Control (LoC), which is a thickly forested belt on the Indian side of the LoC. Sources tell OneIndia that this was a well planned attack and the hard boyz were aware that post the hit, they would easily escape into the forest area.

The intent, the source said was to create panic and unrest ahead of the G20 meetings slated to be held in Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
. The investigations have also shown that the Army vehicle was attacked from three sides.

The Intelligence Bureau has learnt that of the seven terrorists, 3 were from Pakistain. They had crossed over from Pakistain and had hidden in the dense forests, the Intelligence had also found.

A bigwig said that this is a deliberate attack planned by Pakistain. This has been done to instigate violence in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistain has been plotting several such strikes since the abrogation of Article 370, which removed the special status granted to J&K.

The third G20 tourism meet is scheduled to be held in the third week of of May in Srinagar. Pakistain has objected to this. Furthermore the attack came on a day when Pakistain had announced that its foreign minister, Bilawal Bhutto would be visiting India to attend the summit.

The hard boyz used rocket-propelled grenades and assault rifles against the Rashtriya Rifle jawans who were travelling in a truck. The initial probe suggests that the truck caught fire due to a direct rocket-propelled grenade hit. The probe is also ascertaining if the hard boyz had set the truck ablaze.

Probe agencies ascertain original source of bullets used in Poonch attack

[OneIndia] The bullets that were used by the terrorists to attack an Army vehicle in Poonch, in which five jawans were killed, were left behind by the US troops in Afghanistan following the fall of the US-backed government in August 2021.

According to the investigation, a sniper is said to have targeted the truck from the front before two other terrorists sprayed bullets and lobbed grenades. The probe is also trying to ascertain if the steel core bullets used by the terrorists in targeting the Army truck were made in China or in the United States.

Such bullets were left by the US troops in Afghanistan while leaving Kabul. They are said to have fallen into the hands of the Taliban, which in turn could have been diverted to the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad.

According to additional DGP, Jammu, Mukesh Singh, the use of Chinese made-steep core bullets used in the attack is under investigation.

"The attack was carried out by two to three terrorists who are believed to be Pakistanis. We can't speak about the involvement of locals at this stage," Singh also said.

"Massive search operations are on in Bhatta Durrian forests backed by the intelligence agencies, to track down the terrorists involved in the attack. The operations are being coordinated regularly by top officials," Singh said.

A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is camping in Poonch. The forensics team is also looking into the issue. In all probability the NIA will take over the probe soon. Sources tell OneIndia that while the investigation is underway, a majority of the resources are being used to track down the terrorists who may have escaped into the dense forests.

12 policemen martyred in blasts at Swat CTD police station
[GEO.TV] At least 12 coppers were martyred and more than 40 people injured in explosions at a Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) cop shoppe in Swat's Kabal on Monday, police said.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Akhtar Hayat Khan said security officials were on "high alert" throughout the province.

Meanwhile,
...back at the argument, Livia had made her point with her knee to Jane's stomach...
the provincial health department imposed a state of emergency at hospitals in Swat.

CTD DIG Khalid Sohail told Geo News that the blast was "not a suicide kaboom".

"There was no attack or firing on the cop shoppe. The explosion occurred at a place where ammunition and mortar shells were stored."

He further said that the cause of the earth-shattering kaboom — whether negligence or something else — was being investigated. Bomb disposal squads were also conducting an investigation, he added.

The CTD DIG earlier said two explosions had occurred and the building that collapsed was an old one while most offices and personnel were located in a newer building.

The building's collapse caused a power outage, the extent of which was yet to be determined, he added.

Earlier, District Police Officer Shafi Ullah Gandapur (DPO) claimed that a "suicide attack" had taken place.

Consequently, government officials condemned the blast and vowed to defeat terrorism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the blast. He expressed grief over the lives lost and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

He also directed authorities to submit a report regarding the incident, according to Radio Pakistain.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah condemned the blast and expressed sadness over the lives lost. "This scourge of terrorism will be uprooted soon," he asserted.

KP Caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan also condemned the blast and directed that the injured be provided timely medical attention. The provincial government would not abandon the heirs of those martyred, he assured.

The blast was also condemned by Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

Palestinian charged with attempted murder for stabbing two soldiers in terror attack
[IsraelTimes] A Paleostinian man who stabbed and maimed two Israeli soldiers in a terror attack in central Israel earlier this month has been charged with attempted murder.

According to an indictment filed at the Central District Court, 22-year-old Muhammad Awadeh from the West Bank town of Dura near Hebron did not have an entry permit to Israel when he carried out the attack on April 4.

The indictment says after Awadeh decided to carry out an attack, he armed himself with a knife and infiltrated into Israel through a gap in the West Bank security barrier.

Awadeh spent some time in Israel, including at his father’s home in the Tel Aviv neighborhood of Jaffa, the indictment says.

On April 4, Awadeh boarded a bus and got off at Nir Yitzhak junction, next to the Tzrifin base, after spotting soldiers. The indictment says he followed them for a short while before attacking them from behind with a knife.

One of the soldiers was seriously hurt, but despite his injuries, he managed to fight off Awadeh, who sought to steal his weapon and lay on top of it so that it could not be yanked away until civilian passersby overpowered the assailant.

Awadeh is charged with a terror act of attempted murder, a terror act of grievous bodily harm under aggravated circumstances, illegal possession of a knife, and illegal entry into Israel.

He will be held until the end of legal proceedings.

Palestinian man shot dead by Israeli troops during raid near Jericho
[IsraelTimes] Military says suspect ’spotted fleeing the scene’ in Aqabat Jaber refugee camp; 20-year-old thought to be affiliated with al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade terror group

A young Paleostinian man was rubbed out by Israeli forces during a raid near the West Bank city of Jericho on Monday morning, Paleostinian health officials said.

The Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry said it was informed of the death of 20-year-old Suleiman Ayesh Hussein Awaid, after he was shot by Israeli troops in the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp adjacent to Jericho.

The Israel Defense Forces said troops had entered the camp to arrest a wanted Paleostinian.

"During the activity, two suspects were spotted fleeing the scene. The soldiers responded with live fire," the IDF said, adding that the suspects had been hit.

The IDF did not say if the suspects were armed or had attempted to attack troops.

Images circulating online appeared to show Awaid brandishing an assault rifle, and wearing paraphernalia of the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade, indicating his affiliation with the terror group.

The PA said it was only notified of the death, indicating the man’s body was being held by Israel.

Tensions between Israel and the Paleostinians have been high for the past year, with the Israeli military conducting near-nightly raids in the West Bank amid a series of deadly Paleostinian terror attacks.

In addition to the raid in Aqabat Jaber, another 15 wanted Paleostinians were detained in other areas of the West Bank.

Five wounded in car-ramming attack near busy Jerusalem market
[IsraelTimes] One victim in 60s fighting for his life; Paleostinian man who plowed car into pedestrians at corner of Agrippas and Ki’ach streets rubbed out

Five people were maimed in a car-ramming near Jerusalem’s Mahane Yehuda market on Monday afternoon, police and medics said.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said its medics treated five people at the scene on the corner of Agrippas and Ki’ach streets, including an elderly man at death's door.

The man later underwent surgery for multisystemic injuries and doctors were continuing to fight to save his life, said Dr. Alon Schwartz, head of trauma at Shaare Zedek hospital.

A woman in her 30s was listed in moderate condition with injuries to her limbs and will likely also require surgery, Schwartz said.

Three others were listed in good condition, including a 50-year-old man and two men aged 25. The five were taken to Shaare Zedek and Hadassah Ein Kerem hospitals in Jerusalem.

Graphic amateur video footage showed an armed civilian shooting into the car’s window as a maimed man lay on the hood of the vehicle. Several other victims were seen strewn across the street.

"A citizen who witnessed the incident and was near the scene shot and neutralized the terrorist, and later he was declared dead at the scene," police said in a statement, calling the ramming a terror attack.

The Paleostinian driver was identified as 39-year-old Khatem Najma, a father of five from East Jerusalem’s Beit Safafa neighborhood. He had no known prior security offenses, but was known to have mental heath issues.

The attack occurred outside the Mahane Yehuda outdoor market, or shuk, a popular area normally crowded with shoppers.

On Monday afternoon, the area would have been filled with people ahead of the start of Memorial Day, when most stores close.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also called the incident a terror attack.

"Minutes ago, not far from here, there was another attempt to murder Israeli citizens. This terror attack reminds us that the Land of Israel and the State of Israel were acquired through many tribulations," Netanyahu said during a ceremony ahead of Memorial Day at the nearby Yad Lebanim Memorial center.

Israel will mark Memorial Day for soldiers, terror victims and others starting Monday night ahead of Independence Day Tuesday night, a period when emotions and tensions often run high. A Paleostinian stabbing attack on Independence Day in the central city of Elad last year left four dead and several more injured.

Tensions between Israel and the Paleostinians have been high for over a year, with the Israeli military conducting near-nightly raids in the West Bank amid a series of deadly Paleostinian terror attacks.

Paleostinian attacks in Israel and the West Bank have left 19 people dead since the beginning of the year and several more seriously hurt.

At least 92 Paleostinians have been killed since the beginning of the year, most of them while carrying out attacks or during festivities with security forces, but some were uninvolved civilians and others were killed under circumstances that are being investigated.

Last week, two Israeli men were shot and maimed in a terror attack in East Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. The alleged Paleostinian assailant was arrested less than a day later in Nablus.

Israel targets a military observation post of the Lebanese Hezbollah in Qunaitra Governorate, southern Syria
More on this story from yesterday.
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Israeli forces targeted on Monday a military post of the Lebanese Hezbollah militias in the southern countryside of Qunaitra, southern Syria.

Israeli media outlets reported that the targeted post is an observation post of Hezbollah near the town of Hader in northern Qunaitra.

Shortly after the strike, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) dropped threatening pamphlets warning the Syrian government forces to stop cooperating with Hezbollah, according to the Times of Israel.

Over the past two years, Israeli aircrafts have dropped leaflets several times warning the government forces from dealing with Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and Hezbollah.

On April 18, Israeli forces targeted with several rockets a military post of the Seventh Corps of the government forces in the southern countryside of Qunaitra.
Al Ahram adds:
The pro-government Al-Watan newspaper and Sham FM radio said "Israeli agression" targeted the town of Talat Qars al-Nafl in Quneitra province but did not mention any casualties.

A Britain-based war monitor, the pro-opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said the shelling targeted militias linked to the Lebanese militant Hezbollah group in Quneitra. It said that Israel had struck targets in the same area last Tuesday.
More from Rudaw:
Over 20 Israeli missiles target pro-Iran militias in Syria: Monitor

Israeli forces based on the border between Syria and Lebanon launched a barrage of missiles towards the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights in Syria, targeting Lebanon’s Hezbollah group, reported the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) on Monday.

No casualties have been reported as of yet, SOHR added.
