12 killed in separate Al-Shabaab IED attacks in Kenya
[GOOBJOOG NEWS] At least 12 people including six Kenya Defence Forces soldiers died in two separate IED attacks in Garissa and Lamu counties.

According to North Eastern Regional Commissioner John Otieno confirmed the attacks but said that details on the incident will be released later.

Cross-border attacks have increased in Kenya as al-Shabaab

turbans move away from Somalia where the Federal Government has stepped up is offensive against the turbans — creating a potential security challenge for Kenya and neighboring states.

The latest attack comes after a similar incident in Mandera where suspected turbans shot at a bus ferrying 50 passengers. However,
there's more than one way to skin a cat...
the driver of the bus sped off with a deflated tyre saving the passengers on board.

In Sangailu area, Garissa, authorities said the terror group targeted troops with an IED killing four of them after their vehicle ran over an bomb. The personnel were also attacked with guns.

In a separate incident, another IED hit a KDF vehicle in the Mararani Area in Lamu, at the coastal region of Kenya killing two troops, officials said the attacks happened almost simultaneously. Response teams arrived at the scene and rescued more personnel.

This increased to 12, the number of security officers killed in a single day in terror-related incidents. Security agencies have warned of worse times ahead as the attacks increase.

In June, two coppers died while five were maimed after an armored car they were traveling in was hit by an IED in Mandera near the Kenya-Somalia border.

The team from the Quick Response Unit was moving to the Qurqura area in Elwak on an armored Land Rover when they ran over an IED that had been set up by suspected al-Shabaab terrorists, police said.

The two succumbed to the injuries in hospital.

No respite for Sudan civilians two months into brutal war
[AlAhram] Army warplanes bombed the Sudanese city of El Obeid Wednesday, as the country prepared to mark two months since a power struggle between rival generals plunged the country into devastating conflict.

Since April 15, the regular army headed by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces commanded by his former deputy Mohammed Hamdan Daglo have been locked in urban combat that has left whole neighbourhoods of the capital Khartoum unrecognisable. The fighting quickly spread to the provinces, particularly the flashpoint western region of Darfur, and has now killed at least 1,800 people, according to the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED).

On Wednesday, the regular army carried out "air strikes for the first time in El Obeid," the capital of North Kordofan state, 350 kilometres (220 miles) south of the capital, which has been "surrounded by the RSF since the war began," witnesses told AFP.

United States adds senior Al-Shabaab leader to list of most wanted
[TWITTER]

The United States has added senior al-shabaab explosive expert Abdullahi Osman Mohammed to the most wanted and issued $5 million reward for information leading to his arrest.

Mohammed is also believed to hold other key positions within the terror group including heading the media wing al-Kataib and serving as a special advisor to al-shabaab top leader Ahmed Diriye.

The move is seen as a firm commitment by the United States government to collaborate with the Federal Government of Somalia in its fight against the al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
which has continued to pose a threat to the people of Somalia and its neighboring countries.

The inclusion of Mohammed in the most wanted list is seen as a way of targeting the core operational point of the terror group so as to weaken its ability to conduct attacks and also deter its attempts to spread propaganda with the aim of attracting more recruits.

The United States’ "Reward for Justice" program which was established in 1984 has been instrumental in apprehending key snuffies and disrupting their networks.

Through monetary incentives, the program encourages individuals with knowledge of terrorist activities to come forward and provide crucial information to law enforcement agencies.

Crisis deepens in West Darfur capital as civilians face targeting and displacement
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Civilians who have escaped the conflict in West Darfur state said that the state capital El Geneina is currently facing a multifaceted humanitarian and security crisis.

They further reported the ongoing targeting and forced displacement of civilians by Arab militias allied with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), warning that the situation in El Geneina has grown increasingly complex.

Since April 15, El Geneina has been ravaged by violent mostly peaceful conflict that initially erupted between the army and the Rapid Support Forces but has since escalated into festivities between Masalit and Arab tribes. This inter-tribal fighting has resulted in numerous civilian deaths and extensive infrastructure destruction.

On May 17, communication and internet services were severed in the region, effectively isolating it amidst the ongoing tribal conflicts. This isolation has prompted thousands of people to flee to Chad for safety.

Mohammed Ishaq, a resident of the Alshati neighbourhood in El Geneina who managed to reach the Chadian area of "Adré," shared with Sudan Tribune his observations that "the Arab tribal militias are still engaging in massacres targeting all African tribes residing in El Geneina without exception."

Ishaq emphasized that these acts amount to genocide and ethnic cleansing of the indigenous population, forcibly displacing them from their homes. He further detailed the dire situation in neighbourhoods such as Alshati, al-Naseem, al-Thawra, Alzhour, and Alkifah, where armed militias supported by the RSF have invaded these areas and targeted members of African tribes.

"People are being killed solely based on their ethnicity. Hundreds of bodies remain unburied in these neighbourhoods due to the difficulty of reaching them amidst the presence of bully boys," he lamented.

Ishaq highlighted the challenges faced by those who managed to escape El Geneina and reach Chadian territory. They encountered numerous difficulties and came under attack from tribal button men deployed along the main streets, with snipers posing a significant threat to individuals attempting to cross the border.

#1  ...escalated into festivities between Masalit and Arab tribes. This inter-tribal fighting..." Therein lies the crux of the problem. For decades, the Janjaweed criminals supported by the Arab rulers in Khartoum were used to cow the Muslim African tribes in Darfur. Those African tribes were given the general term Masalit.
The Arab tribes in Darfur now have reason to be concerned that the RSF (headed by a Zaghawa Masalit) will achieve its objectives which could mean the excision of Darfur from Khartoum. If that happens there will be a bloodletting and the Masalit will have a revenge whose destruction will surpass all that has gone on the last thirty years.

Aslan Gagiev disagreed with the accusation in court
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] At the court session, Aslan Gagiev,
nicknamed Dzhako, he’s the boss of one of the bloodiest criminal mobs in Russia...
accused of creating a criminal community and three gangs, said that he did not agree with the position of the accuser.

As the "Caucasian Knot" has reported, on October 5, 2021, a trial began in Rostov-on-Don in the criminal case of Aslan Gagiev, who is accused of organizing a criminal community and contract killings. At the first meeting, on October 4, 2021, the indictment was announced. Aslan Gagiev pleaded not guilty, but two days later he confessed to the contract killing of Kazbek Pagiev, Deputy Prime Minister of North Ossetia.

In June 2018, Aslan Gagiev was extradited to Russia from Austria. He is accused of organizing a criminal community, three gangs, arms trafficking and six murders in 2012-2013. In particular, he was charged with the murders of the deputy prosecutor of the Industrial District of Vladikavkaz Oleg Oziev in 2013 and three businessmen: Taimur Kadzaev, Valery Laliev and Alan Torchinov. The accused did not admit that he organized these murders, according to the biography of  Aslan Gagiev , published on the "Caucasian Knot".

The Southern District Military Court continued to consider the case of Aslan Gagiev, the 360 TV channel reported today, publishing a video from the meeting. In the published video, Gagiev addresses the court from a glass room for the defendants.

"It turns out that I did not create alone, but together with other persons? What happens, I share with them, respected court, the fate? Or do I get a discount? If there are three of them, then we divide by 30% of each: 30% I created, 30% he created. I ask you to voice the degree of my "creation" as a percentage ... I do not agree with your accusation," Aslan Gagiev says in the video.

In the published fragment of the video, the defendant did not specify whether it was about the creation of a criminal community (Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) or three episodes of creating gangs (Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), which he is charged with.

Gagiev also asked the court where the possible accomplices were and whether they were being searched for, according to a publication on the TV channel's website.

The case of 12 alleged members of the criminal community of Aslan Gagiev has been considered by the Second Western District Military Court in Moscow since December 2018. On April 19, a closed debate on their case was held. The state prosecutor demanded for the defendants, including three officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, from 15 years in prison to life imprisonment.

The meeting on the Gagiev case took place today, according to the case card on the court website. Since the preliminary hearing, which took place on September 7, 2021, 82 court sessions have taken place.

According to the file of the case, 77 times the sessions were adjourned, twice the sessions were postponed due to the absence of the defendant, including due to illness. The results of three more meetings, including the one held today, are not displayed in the case card.

Pro-Palestinian activist sentenced to 18 months for attack on Jewish man in New York
[IsraelTimes] Waseem Awawdeh to serve prison sentence on hate crime charges for beating Joey Borgen ahead of pro-Israel rally in 2021

A New York court on Tuesday sentenced a pro-Paleostinian activist to 18 months in jail for an attack on a Jewish man two years ago. Waseem Awawdeh was one of five assailants who attacked Joey Borgen while he was walking to a pro-Israel rally in Manhattan in May 2021. The attackers punched, kicked, pepper-sprayed and beat Borgen with crutches, causing injuries, including a concussion.

Awawdeh pleaded guilty in April to attempted assault in the second degree as a hate crime and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. He received 12 months for the assault charge and six months for the weapon charge. The sentences will be served consecutively.

Another attacker in the case, Faisal Elezzi, pleaded guilty in April to attempted assault in the third degree as a hate crime. He is set to serve three years of probation and go through mandatory anti-bias programming, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office told The Times of Israel.

Awawdeh and Elezzi admitted that they attacked Borgen with the three other attackers and were required to make public apologies.

The three remaining defendants — Mohammed Othman, Mohammed Said Othman and Mahmoud Musa — are expected to stand trial in August. They are expected to be tried on hate crimes charges and "face significant state prison time if convicted," the district attorney’s office said.

"No one should ever feel unsafe because of their religion, and we do not tolerate the antisemitic hate displayed by the defendant in this case," the district attorney’s office said on Tuesday.

The attack took place during a spike in antisemitic incidents in New York City around the time of the May 2021 conflict between Israel and Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
terror groups.

Borgen said he had been jumped on the street while wearing a kippah.

The Manhattan district attorney, Alvin Bragg, had come under fire from Jewish groups and advocates for perceived lenience in the case before offering Awawdeh the 18-month plea deal.

Jews are targeted in hate crimes more than any other group in New York, by far, year after year. So far this year, an antisemitic hate crime has taken place in the city every 36 hours on average, according to New York Police Department data. The attacks rarely result in jail time.

Security groups say many more incidents likely go unreported.

Another pro-Paleostinian activist, Saadah Masoud,
"Are you a fucking Jew?" Masoud asked the man, then punched him in the face.
was sentenced earlier this year to 18 months in prison for a series of attacks on Jews in 2021 and 2022. Federal authorities took up the Masoud case amid complaints from the Jewish community about the lack of penalties against antisemitic attackers.

Awawdeh and Masoud have both appeared at rallies led by Within Our Lifetime, a prominent pro-Paleostinian activist group that regularly calls for an intifada and the destruction of the Jewish state at rallies in New York.

SDF rejects Turkish claims that 41 fighters killed in drone strikes
[Rudaw] The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Wednesday rejected The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
’s claims that over 40 of its fighters were killed in Ottoman Turkish dronezaps in northern Syria, saying it was "far from the truth," while a monitor also reported casualties among regime forces.

The Ottoman Turkish defense ministry announced to have "neutralized" 41 members of the People’s Protection Unit (YPG) in Manbij and Tel Rifaat. Turkey uses the term "neutralized" to denote adversaries killed in combat.

The SDF rejected the claim by the Ottoman Turkish ministry, claiming the number to be far lower. "Five of our fighters were martyred in these attacks. The number of our losses in the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Ottoman Turkish state is far from the truth," the SDF Office of Media and Information tweeted.

"We do not have any units in Til [Tel] Rifat. The results of the attacks in Manbij were announced to the public by the Manbij Military Council," it added.

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that Ottoman Turkish forces carried out an artillery attack on a farm in a village west of Manbij, injuring two children, and killing four members of the Manbij Military Council, a local Kurdish-led force affiliated with the SDF, in subsequent dronezaps.

Hawar News Agency (ANHA), an outlet affiliated to Kurdish administration in northeast Syria (Rojava), reported that Ottoman Turkish forces have been bombarding the Tel Rifaat area, close to where military points of the Syrian regime are located, since Tuesday evening. According to the reports, at least nine Syrian soldiers were killed and 10 others were maimed.

Turkey claims YPG is the Syria branch of the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK), which they consider a terrorist group. The YPG is the backbone of the SDF which rules over north and northeast Syria.

According to SOHR, the number of attacks carried out by Ottoman Turkish drones in areas under the control of the SDF has increased to 20 so far this year, adding that they have caused around 25 fatalities, including children and women.

Damascus has deployed troops to Syrian borders with Turkey since 2019 when the Ottoman Turkish invasion of some Kurdish towns in northern Syria led to an agreement between the Kurdish-led SDF and the Syrian army, allowing the latter to deploy forces to the bordering areas.

Suspected Turkish drone injures three Syrian soldiers in Aleppo
[Rudaw] Three Syrian soldiers were maimed in Aleppo province on Tuesday in an aerial attack blamed on The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
, reported a war monitor.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said a Syrian officer and two other soldiers were maimed after a "Ottoman Turkish drone" targeted a tank in northern Aleppo province. The tank was destroyed and the injured members of the Syrian army were taken to a hospital in the nearby Tal Rafaat town.

Neither the Syrian regime nor the Ottoman Turkish government have commented on the attack.

The UK-based war monitor also said that the same drone targeted a nearby town as well but did not cause casualties.

Turkey is the main supporter of Syrian rebels and both have fought the regime and Kurdish forces in the last decade.

Damascus has deployed troops to Syria’s borders with Turkey since 2019 when the Ottoman Turkish invasion of some Kurdish towns in northern Syria led to an agreement between the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Syrian army, allowing the latter to deploy forces to the bordering areas.

Ankara has carried out several military operations against Kurds in Syria and has recently threatened to invade towns like Tal Rifaat.

[IsraelTimes] UK-based Syrian group reports hits on military warehouses belonging to Iran-backed militias; Syrian military source says attacks cause ’material damage’

Wednesday’s strike was Israel’s 18th time targeting sites on Syrian territory since the beginning of the year. Israel has hit over 40 targets in these strikes.
