Kenyan and Ethiopian Al-Shabaab fighters killed in Somalia
[Garowe] The Security Forces in Jubaland state have intensified the crackdown against al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
krazed killers, officials said in a statement, with the latest operation taking place in the notorious Weelmarow village in Lower Jubba, about 45 kilometers from Afmadow town.

According to reports, Jubaland regional troops with assistance from US-trained Danab Special Forces, killed at least 17 murderous Moslems within the village. The regional team in the intelligence docket participated in the raid, officials said, noting that security teams had planned the operation.

The regional security agency claimed that a number of photos were retrieved from phones associated with the krazed killers. Among those killed, the agency added, were al-Shabaab fighters mainly from Kenya and Æthiopia, who had been conducting attacks in the country.

Intelligence teams have previously linked a number of imported muscle to destruction and bombing in Somalia, with a number of them dying in the process. al-Shabaab has been recruiting fighters mainly from Kenya and Æthiopia, with most of them assigned to conduct sophisticated operations.

Wednesday's operation in Weelmarow is the fourth in quick succession given that the US Africa Command activated three Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s last week which left a number of murderous Moslems dead. On Tuesday, officials said, at least 50 al-Shabaab murderous Moslems were killed within the vicinity of Weelmarow.

According to reports, senior regional soldiers also died on Tuesday in the al-Shabaab raid, key among them, Siyaad Sandhere, who died in the suicide kaboom. Top al-Shabaab commanders and fighters also died in the incident, authorities added.

Somalia: Al-Shabaab seizes key base near Kenya's border

Somalia-based al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab
...... al-Qaeda's tentacle in East Africa...
Lions of Islam have reportedly seized a base that was recently handed over by the Kenya Defense Forces [KDF] to the Somali National Army [SNA], in what could slow down the ongoing strategic withdrawal of the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Transition Mission in Somalia [ATMIS] troops.

In a statement, the group, through its media team al-kataib, claimed that Gherille Forward Operating Base [FOB] was officially retaken from SNA troops who were manning it after intensive fighting. The claims could, however, not be verified independently despite the group providing photos to justify its claims.

The shootout, al-Shabaab claimed, left at least three people dead, as the Lions of Islam ran over the base which could be strategic to their cowardly attacks within Jubaland. Gherille Forward Operating Base was under the KDF team which handed it over about three weeks ago.

Security analysts insist that the takeover could trigger more al-Shabaab attacks on Kenyan soil given that the base is located about 12 kilometers from the Kenya-Somalia border. In recent weeks, Kenya has been witnessing increased al-Shabaab activities, especially in Mandera, Wajir, and Garissa.

KDF has established 14 Forward Operating Bases along the Kenya-Somalia border due to ongoing withdrawal from Somalia, with the soldiers expected to be stationed along the border. Chief of Defense Forces Gen Francis Ogolla visited troops serving in ATMIS and along the border for morale boosting.

Recently, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud convinced his Kenyan counterpart William Ruto to deploy non-ATMIS troops to Somalia ahead of the impending second phase of operations against al-Shabaab. Also to dispatch more troops who will serve for three months are Æthiopia and Djibouti.

Protests erupt in Mukalla over collapsing currency and living standards
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] On Wednesday, the city of Mukalla in Hadhramaut governorate, witnessed angry popular protests against the rise in the dollar exchange rate and the collapse of the local currency.

According to local sources, the demonstrators, who blocked a number of streets in the city of Mukalla, called on the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition to intervene to stop the deteriorating economic situation and to immediately work to alleviate their suffering.

To protest the collapse of the currency and power outages for long hours, they also closed money exchange shops and blocked main streets with stones and burned tires

These protests come in conjunction with massive popular demonstrations in the cities of Aden, Abyan
...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirate after seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Yemeni government forces launched an effort to re-establish control of the region when President-for-Life Saleh was tossed and the carnage continues...

The protests come amid a terrifying collapse in living and security conditions in areas controlled by coalition factions, at a time when the pro-coalition government refuses to find any solutions to address complex crises.

Islah affiliated gunmen seize tanker trucks in Southwest Yemen
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Gunmen loyal to the Saudi-led coalition continued on Wednesday to hold dozens of tanker trucks in Taiz province, southwest Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
, for the second day in a row.

Local sources in Taiz told the Yemeni Press Agency that the pro-coalition recruits affiliated with the Islah Party seized dozens of trucks belonging to merchants from Taiz in the Jabal Habashi area.

The button men refused to release the gas-loaded trucks, which were imported by merchants from the areas controlled by the Sana’a government because of their low price.

The sources confirmed that the gas company of the government loyal to the coalition in Taiz stipulated that merchants sell a 20-liter gas cylinder at a price of 9,500 riyals instead of 8,000 riyals in return for releasing their trucks.

Recently, Taiz province and all other provinces under the control of the pro-coalition factions have witnessed a huge price hike due to the collapse of the local currency in those areas.

Spain to sue citizen on charges of joining ISIS in Syria
[NPASyria] Abdul Majid Abdul Bari, British citizen, is due to be sued in Madrid on Wednesday, facing charges of joining Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) in Syria between 2013 and 2015.

Abdul Bari, 32, from west London, went on trial at Spain’s Audiencia Nacional criminal court for joining ISIS while visiting Syria between 2013 and 2015.

He is accused of publishing a grisly photo in August 2014 in which he can be seen posing with a severed head in the city of Raqqa, northern Syria.

Prosecutors, who are calling for a nine-year jail sentence, accused him of running "online scams" with two friends to fund "terrorist activities".

He was arrested in April 2020 in the southern town of Almería, Spain, several days after arriving by boat from Algeria.

Abdul Bari, originally from Maida Vale in London, was a British-Egyptian national but he was stripped of his UK citizenship because of his links to ISIS.

However,
today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday...
he denied all the charges against him, saying it was not him in the photo with the severed head and claiming that he does not agree with ISIS and al-Qaeda ideology.

ISIS lost its final stronghold in Syria in March 2019. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), with the support of the US-led Global Coalition, defeated ISIS after fierce battles in the town of Baghouz in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, bringing an end to the so-called caliphate declared by the terrorist ISIS.

NIA raids parts of south Kashmir in OGW network case

The National Investigation Agency on Thursday carried raids across South Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
in connection with the case related to the OGW network.

Quoting official sources, GNS reported that this morning, NIA, with the assistance of police and CRPF conducted searches a cross South Kashmir against Over Ground Worker

The raids were underway in connection with case RC 5/22 against OGWs.

Until this report was being filed, no arrest or recovery was reported so far.

Military court convicts Palestinian over deadly 2018 terror shooting
[IsraelTimes] Judges say Ahmed Kunba was part of cell that murdered 35-year-old Raziel Shevach in West Bank

An Israeli military court on Thursday convicted a member of a Paleostinian terror cell that carried out a deadly shooting attack in the West Bank in January 2018.

Ahmed Kunba, a resident of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, was part of the group that opened fire and killed 35-year-old Raziel Shevach near the outpost of Havat Gilad. The attack was carried out along with other members of the cell and its leader, Ahmad Nassar Jarrar.
Mr. Jarrar receives a monthly pension from the PA of 1,400 shekels ($390), so Mr. Kunba can expect a henchmen’s portion.
Kunba was convicted of intentionally causing the death of Shevach. The charge is equivalent to murder in the West Bank military court.

He was additionally convicted of a number of other security-related offenses, as well as plotting and carrying out a number of other attacks along with Jarrar, who was killed by Israeli troops less than a month after the attack.

Over the course of a number of weeks, Jarrar, Kunba, and other accomplices scoped out areas where they aimed to carry out an attack, and waited for Israeli civilians to arrive, according to the indictment.

On January 9, 2018, the group of button men opened fire and killed Shevach, a father of six, on a highway near the then-illegal outpost of Havat Gilad. The turbans expeditiously departed at a goodly pace, and Israeli security forces launched a manhunt for them over the following weeks.

Around a week after the attack, Israeli forces killed Ahmad Ismail Muhammad Jarrar, one of the alleged members of the cell, and detained Kunba along with another suspect. The alleged leader of the cell, Ahmad Nassar Jarrar, was killed several weeks later.

Kunba’s first sentencing hearing was set for August 1.

Four Palestinians said wounded in settler attack in West Bank
“Vengeance is mine,” sayeth the Lord. These guys put up with a lot over the years — it looks like they are done.
[IsraelTimes] Paleostinian health ministry says two listed at death's door following incident in Kafr Thulth area; two Israelis also hurt in clash

Four Paleostinians were maimed in an attack by Israeli settlers in the northern West Bank on Thursday, Paleostinian medical officials and an Israeli rights group said. Two Israelis were also reported maimed in the incident.

The Paleostinian Authority health ministry said in a statement that four people were maimed as a result of an attack by settlers in the area of the town of Kafr Thulth. The ministry said two of the Paleostinians were listed at death's door, after suffering skull fractures.

The official PA news agency, Wafa, and the Yesh Din rights group reported that the incident occurred in the nearby hamlet of Arab al-Khouli, east of Kafr Thulth, and close to the Israeli settlement of Maaleh Shomron.

According to Yesh Din, the settlers set fire to a number of tents in the hamlet and assaulted residents. It claimed that a herd of goats was also stolen by the settlers.

"The army and the police are present at the scene but are not controlling the rioters," Yesh Din said.

It said that there were elderly Paleostinians among the injured.

Meanwhile,
...back at the abandoned silver mine, the water was up to Jack's neck and still rising. And then he smelled the smoke...
Rescuers Without Borders, an Israeli emergency service operating in the West Bank, said there was a verbal confrontation between Paleostinians and young Jewish Israelis that turned violent mostly peaceful at the adjacent illegal outpost of El Matan.

The service said the Paleostinians hurled stones at the Israelis, wounding one. A second was assaulted and suffered mild blunt trauma, it added.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said it was taking the 19-year-old Israeli maimed by the stone-throwing to the Meir Medical Center in the central city of Kfar Saba. MDA said he was in good condition after being hit in the head by a stone.

A spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces said the army was looking into the incident.

There was no immediate comment from the Israel Police.

Last month, in the wake of a Paleostinian terror attack in which four Israelis were bumped off by Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", terrorists, hundreds of settlers rampaged in Paleostinian towns and villages for five days, setting fire to homes and cars, and even opening fire in some cases. One Paleostinian was killed in unclear circumstances. Two suspects have since been charged in the rioting.

The area near the El Matan outpost saw a violent mostly peaceful clash between settlers and Paleostinians in 2020.

Arab Israeli convicted of attempted murder with terror motive in 2021 Acre mob assault
[IsraelTimes] Qusay Abbas, 21, found guilty in most serious judgment yet in case.

An Arab Israeli man was convicted Thursday of attempted murder with a terror motive for his role in the mob assault of a Jewish resident of Acre during the May 2021 riots that left the victim, Mor Ganashvili, with life-threatening and permanent injuries.

The guilty verdict for Qusay Abbas, 21, is the most serious yet among the nine individuals that are suspected of involvement in the attack.

Ganashvili was beaten with iron bars and other blunt instruments that rendered him unconscious and left him with two brain hemorrhages and internal bleeding, among numerous other injuries.

Judges in the Haifa District Court unanimously found Abbas guilty of terror charges including attempted murder, throwing rocks at a vehicle, vandalizing a vehicle with a racial motive, and rioting.

They rejected the defense’s claim that Ganashvili tried to run down his attacker.

The riots in Acre were part of a series of violent mostly peaceful inter-communal disturbances, particularly in Israel’s mixed Jewish-Arab cities, that took place in the days following the outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
in May 2021.

Haim Bleicher, Ganashvili’s lawyer from the right-wing Honenu organization, said it was "clear to everyone this was an attempted murder, and we believe this will impact the rest of the suspects in the case."

As part of a plea deal in November, the Haifa District Court ordered Adham Bashir, 24, to pay NIS 150,000 (approximately $43,000) in damages to Ganashvili for his role in the assault. Bashir, also a resident of the coastal city, confessed to the crime and was convicted on charges of aggravated assault as an act of terror, attempted aggravated assault, and rioting.

In February 2022, Acre resident Bilal Hilwani was convicted of egging on the rioters to attack Ganashvili, and in March he was sentenced to a year in prison.

The attackers were among masked rioters roaming the streets of Acre on the night of May 12, throwing stones and launching fireworks at coppers and destroying public property. They set up a roadblock using furniture and other objects, which Ganashvili encountered while driving to visit his mother, whom he was worried about due to the ongoing riots.

The rioters pelted Ganashvili’s car, which had Israeli flags on it, with stones and other objects, causing him to lose control and crash into a wall.

Ganashvili was rescued by another Arab resident of Acre, Fadi Qassem, a nurse who gave him first aid treatment and helped save his life before security forces and emergency medical services took him to the hospital.

Exclusive military sources told North Press that the earth-shattering kaboom took place due to a mistake while preparing the filling for a manual artillery shell, resulting in the earth-shattering kaboom of the rest of the manufactured projectiles and the raw explosives.

The explosion also caused destruction to more than half of the factory.

The sources added that the earth-shattering kaboom also killed "Abu Farhan Tafkhikh," specialized in weapons manufacturing and combinations, and maimed three of his assistances amid blackout by the HTS regarding information related to the earth-shattering kaboom.

"Three Hezbollah members were maimed by Israeli fire near the border," the source told AFP, requesting anonymity as they were not authorised to speak to the media.

Three other sources with knowledge of the incident also said Hezbollah members had been maimed. One said a sound grenade was fired and that three members were "lightly" hurt.

The Israeli army said in a statement that "a number of suspects approached the northern security fence with Lebanon and attempted to sabotage the security fence in the area".

"Soldiers immediately spotted the suspects and used means to distance them," the army said, adding that "the identity of the suspects is unknown."

An AFP correspondent said the incident took place near the village of al-Bustan, where Lebanese army and peacekeepers were deployed.

'UNDER INVESTIGATION'

Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), which acts as a buffer between Lebanon and Israel, said it was "aware of disturbing reports about an incident along the Blue Line."

"The situation is extremely sensitive. We urge everyone to cease any action that may lead to escalation of any kind," it said in a statement.

Lebanon and Israel are technically at war. They fought a devastating war in 2006 after the group captured two Israeli soldiers.

The conflict killed 1,200 people in Lebanon, mostly civilians, and 160 Israelis, mostly soldiers.

Hezbollah chief His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

said in a televised speech to mark the anniversary of the 2006 war that Wednesday's incident was "under investigation".

UNIFIL was set up in 1978 to monitor the withdrawal of Israeli forces after they invaded Lebanon in reprisal for a Paleostinian attack. The UN mission was beefed up in response to the 2006 conflict, and operates in the south near the border.

Wednesday's incident comes less than a week after the Israeli army struck southern Lebanon following an anti-tank missile launch from its northern neighbour. The missile went kaboom! in the border area between the two foes.

That same day, Hezbollah denounced Israel for building a concrete wall around the town of Ghajar.

The Blue Line cuts through Ghajar, formally placing its northern part in Lebanon and its southern part in the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights.

ANNEXATION
"This land will not be left to Israelis," Nasrallah said Wednesday.

"Through cooperation" between Hezbollah, the state and the Lebanese people, "we can get back our occupied land in Ghajar," he added.

The foreign ministry on Tuesday said Lebanon would file a complaint with the United Nations Security Council over Israel's "annexation" of the north of Ghajar.

Nasrallah also said Hezbollah had set up two tents recently in the Shebaa Farms -- one erected in a disputed area -- but that the Israelis had "not dared to take any steps on the ground" in response.
