-Lurid Crime Tales-
Four killed in shooting in US state of Georgia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] At least four people have died in a mass shooting in the US state of Georgia. This was reported on July 15 by CBS.

It is specified that an unknown person opened fire on people in the city of Hampton, Henry County. The city is located 65 km south of Atlanta. The suspected attacker is still at large and police are looking for him.

County government spokeswoman Melissa Robinson said at least four people were killed in the mass shooting. Information about the injured and dead is being specified.

Earlier, IA Regnum reported that in New York, as a result of a shooting by a man on a scooter, one person died and three were injured. The police detained a 21-year-old man who fired, the actions of the attacker are called accidental.

A shooting was also reported at a nightclub in the US state of Colorado. US President Joseph Biden said after the shooting in Colorado Springs, which killed five people, that the country needs to tighten gun control and ban the sale of assault weapons.
CBS Atlanta adds:
According to Hampton Police Chief James Turner, law enforcement is looking for 40-year-old Andre Longmore -- who is believed to be armed and dangerous. The shootings happened in the city of about 8,500 people, located about 40 miles south of Atlanta.

Officials released few details about the killings. Turner said detectives were investigating at least four scene of the crimes near one another in the same neighborhood. He declined to discuss a possible motive.

The suspect remained on the lam more than five hours after the killings, and authorities vowed to keep searching until he was in jug.

#1  SOME COMPARISON DATA

FIREARMS
There is an estimated 434 million firearms in civilian possession. The AR-15 and similar semi-automatics account for about estimated 19.8 million, in common use.

Official government sources indicates from 2012 to 2022, (10 years) includes, Epidemics, a Pandemic, 100's of the Riots and Looting's, only shows there were about 43,200 gun deaths a year in the US with a population of 342,000,000+ people. Or on average 1 on 10,046 chance of death by firearm. Note: this figure also includes justified, police, & self-defense shootings.

VEHICLES
Official government sources estimate 42,915 people died in motor vehicle traffic accidents in 2021 and US has about 282,366,285 registered vehicles as Dec. 31, 2021. Or, on average 1 in 6,579 chance of death by vehicle. Note: this figure also includes mass transit accidental deaths.

So, in the USA you are 3,467 times more likely to be killed by a vehicle than a firearm.

If a person using the same Official government sources, were to break down the Shooter/Murder vs Victim demographics, and publish it, the data would be called Bias Racist

But hypothetically. even if certain demographic groups were banned from having firearms. We still be back at the same real life fatal logic .

Violent Criminals don't obey gun laws, only honest citizens Victims do.

Afghanistan
Daily Evacuation Brief July 16, 2023
[AfghanDigest] LAST 24 HOURS
  • ONLINE CAMPAIGN TO BAN TALIBAN FROM TWITTER LAUNCHED – Several journalists, entertainers, academics, and ordinary people launched a campaign to urge Twitter to ban accounts of the Taliban across its platform. In a jointly signed declaration, the group claims Twitter is being misused by the Taliban to spread disinformation. Those interested in reading the petition and/or supporting the call can access it by clicking HERE. We urge those at-risk Afghans who reside in Afghanistan or the region to hide any information that could identify them if they choose to support the campaign.

  • PAKISTAN’S NATIONAL ASSEMBLY LOOKING INTO CORRUPTION CHARGES IN VISA PROCESS FOR AFGHANS – The panel on Foreign Affairs in the National Assembly took the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Interior, and the Federal Investigative Agency for failing to provide reports on possible corrupt practices in the Pakistan-Afghanistan visa issuance process. The chairman of the committee issued a statement on 14 July that failure to comply with the committee’s requests for information amounts to hiding corruption inherent in the system. The chairman gave the agencies an additional forty-eight hours to provide the requested reports. Based on reports from Kabul, the Pakistan visa process is completely mired in corruption and there are indications that some employees of the embassy are involved in the cash-for-visa scheme that began shortly after the Taliban rose to power. The Taliban have attempted to intervene in the scams being perpetrated on Afghans with regard to visas but do not appear to have done much more than condemn the criminality.

  • PAKISTAN’S MINISTER OF DEFENSE ISSUES WARNINGS OF POSSIBLE STRIKES – Defense Minister Khawaja Asif spoke at the Express-News show - Center Stage on Saturday and discussed the uptick in terrorist attacks carried out by the TTP. In his remarks, he regretted the government’s decisions to provide shelter to Afghan refugees and blamed the PTI regime for lax security measures which have caused problems for the counter-terrorism apparatus in Pakistan. He was mainly concerned with the ease at which the TTP could infiltrate across the border to carry out terror operations and then return to avoid prosecution by Pakistani forces. The Minister went on to accuse the IEA of failing to abide by its commitments and warned that Pakistan will use all its resources to protect its sovereignty and people.

HEAVY RAINS IN ISLAMABAD-RAWALPINDI SPUR ‘EMERGENCY’ DECLARATIONS – The rains that fell on Saturday in the twin cities forced local emergency managers to deploy emergency vehicles to help drain water that was pooling along roadways. Many of the low-lying neighborhoods in both cities had seen up to 12 inches of accumulated water and the levels could reach as high as 24 inches by the end of today. Emergency crews were working in several areas to help create drainages but are having difficulty due to the significant amount of rain that was dropped in such a short time.

Two Tanzanians Arrested In Garissa While Headed For Somalia To Join Al Shabaab
[Garowe] Kenyan security agencies arrested two foreigners in Garissa while on their way to join the al-Shabaab
...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
terror group in Somalia.

Officials said Tanzanians Abdirahman Shaffi Mkwatili, 25, and Sadam Jafari Kitia, 30 were nabbed on Wednesday in the possession of a notebook scribbled in Swahili that they were using to guide their movement from Tanzania to Jilib.

According to police, the suspects revealed that they were heading to Somalia to join al-Shabaab after being recruited and facilitated by their handlers in Tanzania.

Police said this is a trend that they have noted with recruits traveling to join either al-Shabaab or ISIS, that they are provided with travel arrangements avoiding communications while on the way or asking people about the route to avoid raising suspicion.

Police sources said the arrests come two weeks after three other Tanzanians Abdul Saif Salimu, Zuberi Ngare Mtondoo, and Seif Abdalla Juma, were nabbed in the same area following a report by members of the public.

A Ugandan national was also recently arrested in Liboi on his way to Somalia, with police noting that this was made possible following the collaboration between security agencies and the community.

The security agencies further cautioned Public Service Vehicle operators to be alert and share any information on the movement of suspicious foreigners.

"The ongoing war against terrorism by the security agencies continues to frustrate the recruitment and facilitation of recruits destined to Somalia to join al-Shabaab,"’ a police report said.

Security agencies have increased their surveillance and investigations that of late has seen swift arrests of youth travelling to join terror groups and cells in Somalia.

Some of the foreigners joining the terror groups are usually used as jacket wallahs in various places, officials say.

Kenya has been a victim of such attacks in the past that left many dead.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, another bullet hole appeared in Butch's hat......
a court Friday, July 14 ruled on the case against Mohammed Abdi Ali alias Abu Fidaa, Nuseiba Mohammed Ali, Abdirahman Idriss Hassan, and Salah Mohammed Khalif that they have a case to answer.

The accused persons face various charges under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) including directing the commission of a terrorist act, recruitment of members of a terrorist group, soliciting for the commission of a terrorist act, collection of information, promoting a terrorist act, organizing a meeting in support of terrorist group and membership of a terrorist group.

The group had been arrested in 2016 and was in jug pending the court hearing.

In the ruling, the court placed Abu Fidaa and Nuseiba on their defense whereas Idriss and Khalif were acquitted under provisions of section 210 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC).

The defense hearing for the two is slated for August 21 to 25, 2023. The ruling was delivered virtually by chief magistrate Martha Mutuku at the Mombasa law courts.

Abducted in Mexico: California woman found safe after 8 months in captivity
[GEO.TV] A Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, woman who was kidnapped in Mexico last year has been found safe and is returning to the United States.

France set fire to 255 cars on Bastille Day
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] On France's national holiday, Bastille Day, police counted 255 reports of car arson, Radio France reported.

According to the Minister of the Interior of France , Gerald Darmanin , this year the holiday was held under the close supervision of the security forces due to the recent unrest in the country.

During the day, the police received data on 255 burned cars. Law enforcement officers made 96 arrests, with 53 in Paris. Seven policemen, gendarmes and firefighters were injured.

“There were festivities, concerts and fireworks all over France, and compared to 2022, the damage has significantly decreased,” Darmanin said.

Today, the French Interior Ministry has mobilized 45,000 police and gendarmes to maintain order.

As IA Regnum reported , France was swept by a wave of riots at the end of June, the reason for which was the murder of a native of Algeria by a police officer in the Parisian suburb of Nanterre.

A 17-year-old teenager, driving a car, violated traffic rules, refused to obey a police officer and, according to one version, tried to run over a police officer. Another police officer mortally wounded the driver.

After that, riots began in Paris and a number of other cities in France, accompanied by an attack on security officials, arson of cars and pogroms in institutions and retail outlets.

Severe unrest continued until July 4, and then subsided. On July 5, Darmanen announced that the riots had stopped.

Bastille Day in France is traditionally accompanied by clashes with the police.

Iraq
Turkish Artillery Shelling Sparks Fires in Northern Iraqi Villages, Eyewitnesses Allege
[Shafaq News] Eyewitnesses have reported that Ottoman Turkish artillery shelling has resulted in fires breaking out in farms and forests in two villages in northern Iraq's Amadiya district.

The incidents, allegedly caused by Ottoman Turkish forces, were recounted by witnesses who spoke to Shafaq News agency.

According to the witnesses, the shelling took place on Saturday, targeting the villages of Burji and Sarkli. The artillery strikes ignited fires in the surrounding forests and farmlands, posing a significant threat to the residents.

Despite ongoing efforts, the responsible authorities have encountered difficulties in extinguishing the fires, as stated by witnesses. Consequently, the fires continue to burn, exacerbating the situation.

These incidents underscore the escalating tensions in the region attributed to Ottoman Turkish military operations, resulting in collateral damage and environmental hazards for nearby communities. The extent of the damage caused by the fires is yet to be fully assessed.

At the time of reporting, Ottoman Turkish or local authorities have released no official statements regarding the alleged shelling and subsequent fires.

Lebanese lawmaker leads group across Israeli border; IDF fires warning shots
Propaganda and response testing.
[IsraelTimes] Group is chased back, does not cross barrier; Hezbollah-affiliated news hound says the 18 people, many of them journalists, joined parliamentarian for tour of border

A group of Lebanese, including a parliamentarian, crossed the border into Israeli sovereign territory on Saturday morning, before being chased back to Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
by the Israel Defense Forces who fired warning shots.

In a statement, the IDF said troops fired warning shots and used riot dispersal means after the group of some 18 people crossed the so-called Blue Line in the contested Mount Dov region. The group walked some 80 meters into Israeli territory but not did not breach Israel’s border barrier.

According to Ali Shoeib, a Hezbollah-affiliated correspondent, a group of journalists had joined MP Qassem Hashem, a member of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party in Lebanon, for a tour of the border area.

The IDF said that it only fired warning shots and used riot dispersal means after the group refused to leave the area. Eventually, they returned to Lebanon.

The incident appeared to be the latest in a series of actions along the northern border, most of them instigated by the Hezbollah terror group, that have raised tensions in recent months.

On Friday, the IDF said troops fired warning shots and used riot dispersal means after a number of Lebanese suspects hurled stones toward the border. The small group eventually left the area, a military spokesperson said.

On Wednesday, the IDF detonated a non-lethal explosive charge after Hezbollah members attempted to damage Israel’s border fence. In another area, Hezbollah activists climbed an Israeli military tower on the border and stole surveillance equipment. And in a third incident Wednesday, IDF troops fired warning shots at a group of Hezbollah activists who launched fireworks and set fires near Metula, during a protest to mark 17 years since the 2006 Second Lebanon War.

Last week, an anti-tank missile was fired from Lebanon at the contested village of Ghajar, causing no injuries. And in another incident last week, dozens of Lebanese soldiers along with some Hezbollah members crossed into Israeli territory without passing the border fence itself, before eventually heading back.

Last month, Hezbollah said it shot down an Israeli drone flying over a village in southern Lebanon.

And in early June, two tents manned by armed Hezbollah members were discovered on Israeli territory in the contested Mount Dov region. One tent was removed after Israel sent a message to Hezbollah threatening an armed confrontation if it did not remove the outpost soon.

The boundary between Israel and Lebanon, known as the Blue Line, is marked with blue barrels along the border and is several meters from the Israeli fence in some areas, which Israel says is built entirely within Israeli territory.

The Mount Dov area was captured by Israel from Syria during the 1967 Six Day War but the Lebanese government and Hezbollah say the area belongs to Lebanon.

Unarmed Palestinian detained in West Bank settlement, sparking infiltration alert
[IsraelTimes] A Paleostinian man was detained in the West Bank settlement of Asael on Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces said, noting that he was unarmed.

The man was apprehended by a civilian security guard in the community in the South Hebron hills. It was not immediately clear what he was doing there and the military later said he was not carrying a gun or a knife.

The incident sparked a "terror infiltration" alert from the Home Front Command, with residents told to immediately shelter indoors and lock all doors and windows.

They later issued an all-clear.

Hebrew media reports said the Paleostinian man was "neutralized," but did not give any further details.

Turkey sends military convoy to NW Syria
[NPASyria] Ottoman Turkish forces sent on Friday a military convoy to the western countryside of Aleppo amidst ongoing military tensions in the northwestern de-escalation zone of Syria.

A military source told North Press the convoy consisted of over 15 military and logistical vehicles, including armored vehicles, that entered Syrian territory through Kafer Lusin border crossing and headed towards Ottoman Turkish positions in the western countryside of Aleppo.

The number of Ottoman Turkish military bases and checkpoints deployed on the Idlib frontlines, southwards to Hama countryside, has increased to 23 posts and bases that overlook the strategic M4 and M5 Highways, according to the North Press Agency’s correspondents in the region.

The convoy included eight armored vehicles and trucks, one of which had military bulldozers and the other carried pre-made walls, which is believed to be aimed at "establishing a new military checkpoint on the M4 Highway," according to the source.

The M4 Highway runs from Latakia to Saraqib, southeast of Idlib. It also connects Ariha and Jisr al-Shughur in the southern and southwestern countryside of Idlib. Its length is 120 km. It arrives until Aleppo, and from there, it has been expanded as a two-lane expressway that continues further east into the Iraqi border, ultimately reaching its destination at djinn-infested Mosul

The US to Deploy F-16 Fighters to Gulf to Protect Ships From Iranian Seizure Attempts
[KhaamaPress] The United States is increasing its use of fighter jets in the critical Strait of Hormuz to protect ships from Iranian seizure.

Washington is becoming more concerned about the strengthening relations between Iran, Russia and Syria throughout the Middle East, the US media outlets said.

The US will send F-16 fighter jets to the Gulf this weekend to support the A-10 attack aircraft that have been patrolling for over a week; the official told news hounds at the Pentagon.

The decision comes after Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...

Meanwhile,
...back at the Council of Boskone, Helmuth had turned a paler shade of blue. Star-A-Star had struck again...
The US military’s most recent statement comes just a few weeks after it sent a fleet of F-22 Raptors to the Middle East due to Russia’s risky and improper behaviour over Syria.

"A-10s have been flying over the Strait of Hormuz and the broader [Gulf] areas for about a week and a half now. Moreover, we are starting to fly f-16s this weekend, as well, to further robust that presence," the official, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
, told news hounds.

The increased air presence will provide the US "really good visibility" over the ships in the area, their cargo, and their owners. Moreover, the official added that it enables us to evaluate whether vessels might be in danger.

The official declined to provide more details but insisted that the US would not cede any land and keep carrying out anti-ISIS Arclight airstrike
