-Lurid Crime Tales-
Horror: 6-Year-Old Palestinian-American Boy Murdered in Apparent Hate Crime in Illinois
[Breitbart] Wadea Al-Fayoume, a six-year-old Palestinian-American boy, was stabbed to death on Saturday at his Plainfield, Illinois, home in an apparent hate crime committed by his landlord, identified as Joseph Czuba.

WLS-7, the local ABC affiliate, reported:

PLAINFIELD, Ill. (WLS) — A man stabbed a child to death and critically injured a woman in the southern suburbs on Saturday morning because they are Muslim, the Will County Sheriff’s Office said on Sunday.

The charges against the suspect came down just before 2 p.m. Shortly after, the murdered boy’s father came forward not just to share his heartbreak, but to speak out on what appears to be an act of hatred. His son and ex-wife are Palestinian.

In announcing the charges, the Will County Sheriff’s Office called the crime "senseless" and "cowardly," saying, in part, "Detectives were able to determine that both victims in this brutal attack were targeted by the suspect due to them being Muslim and the on-going Middle Eastern conflict involving Hamas and the Israelis."

Czuba does not appear to be Jewish, and Plainfield is many miles away from the closest Jewish community or synagogue.

Africa Horn
Sudan: Hope fades as war enters sixth month
[AFRICANEWS] Six months since conflict broke out, Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
's brutal war continues to inflict immeasurable suffering: endangering lives, displacing millions from their homes, and causing deaths even in areas far from frontlines.

"The war continues mercilessly. We wake up every day hoping that a solution or agreement or ceasefire will be reached. Unfortunately, this hope fades day by day," decries Rashid Mohammed Ahmed, resident of Omdourman.

More than 9,000 deaths, 5.6 million displaced people and refugees, cholera and deindustrialisation, the war that broke out between general al-Burhane and Mohammed Hamdane Daglo has brought Sudan to its knees and ravaged its capital Khartoum.

Sudanese hopes of an end to the fighting are "fading" as people feel more and more scared.

"The past six months were a bitter period. We are scared day and night. Scared of the bombs and bullets," shares Mona Mohammed Taher, another resident of Omdourman.

Across Sudan, the fragile health system is struggling; emergency rooms are congested, and many hospitals have closed completely.

According to the International president of Doctors without borders, Sudan’s crisis epitomises a catastrophic failure of humanity, marked by the warring parties’ failing to protect civilians or facilitate essential humanitarian access.

"Some charity organizations are helping, but we still need health aid, blankets, bedsheets, and also there is water and medicine shortage. In general, there is shortage in healthcare services," pleads Mounira El Ser, volunteer in the al-Wahda school camp?

With no end to the war in sight, NGOs are calling for a substantial increase in efforts to provide humanitarian aid and for people of Sudan to be allowed unhindered access to medical aid.

Soldiers die in Mogadishu explosion
[Garowe] Two soldiers were killed on Saturday in Somalia's capital Mogadishu, authorities reported, following a kaboom within the city, which also left three people severely injured, and have since been rushed to various hospitals for treatment.

According to reports, the earth-shattering kaboom took place in the Waharadde neighborhood in the Heliwa District of Mogadishu on Saturday. This is the first time in as many months a kaboom has been reported in the outskirts of Mogadishu, which has been relatively peaceful.

According to reports, the dear departed soldiers were working with the Criminal Investigation Department, the undercover police which acts as crime busters in the capital. The bodies of the dear departed soldiers were taken to CID headquarters for processing, authorities said.

The maimed, police said, were taken to Madina Hospital in Mogadishu where they are undergoing treatment. Although no group has taken responsibility for the cowardly attacks, the al-Shabaab

...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Transition Mission in Somalia [ATMIS], which has been assisting the Somali National Army [SNA] to settle.

For the last one month, the al-Shabaab managed to move to the eastern parts of River Shabelle where they have been planning attacks before executing their plans. The eastern banks is where they have been hiding their vehicles used for suicide kaboom, authorities said in a statement.

Intense fighting between the ATMIS troops and the al-Shabaab was recorded throughout last month in eastern banks of River Shabelle, with al-Shabaab now forced to retreat. The ATMIS team was shelling the area to disperse the murderous Moslems, locals reported.

At some point, it needed the commander of the Land Forces Colonel Dayah Abdi to go there and mobilise the final push, which was concluded at the beginning of this week, authorities said. The ATMIS has been fighting to install local administration in strategic areas as part of Somalia's stabilization process.

According to analysts, the major hurdle remains whether the government and local fighters will hold those river crossing villages or retreat, and gift al-Shabaab another opportunity to return to Ciid Ciidka forest. The forest is viewed as a strategic point in the fight against al-Shabaab murderous Moslems.

For the last few months, al-Shabaab snuffies have suffered significantly in the frontline, losing key strategic areas to the Somali National Army and the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia. Also monitoring the war closely are the US Africa Command teams.

The government of Somalia has waged sustained operations against the al-Shabaab, which have left more than 5,500 snuffies dead. In return, the al-Shabaab have been carrying sporadic retaliatory attacks in several frontlines, triggering a series of military activities across Somalia.

Sudan reports Ukrainian mercenaries killed in a firefight
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] At the Wadi Seydna military base in Khartoum, a conflict occurred between Ukrainian mercenaries and members of the Sudanese armed forces, which escalated into a large-scale shootout with casualties, the Al-Mashhad Al-Yemeni portal reported on October 15.

According to these data, the reason for the conflict, and then the shooting, was disagreement over the situation in Israel. Ukrainian mercenaries allegedly vocally supported the Israeli army's strikes on the Gaza Strip, and this caused extreme dissatisfaction with local military personnel.
Sudan blows hot and cold about Israel, between advantage and emotion.
“An armed clash broke out between members of the Sudanese armed forces and Ukrainian personnel after they (Ukrainian mercenaries - editor’s note) expressed full support for the massive aerial bombing of Israel in the Gaza Strip,” the report said.
Interesting.
According to these data, eight Ukrainian mercenaries and ten Sudanese soldiers were killed as a result of the firefight.

In August 2023, it was reported that British intelligence MI6 intends to send a trained sabotage and punitive detachment from the Ukrainian military to Sudan, which will have to resist the strengthening of cooperation between the countries of this region and Russia.

Africa North
Egypt: Volunteers collect humanitarian aid to channel to Gaza
[AFRICANEWS] Volunteers from Resala charity organization collect humanitarian aid to be delivered to Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
as an aid convoy is set to head to Rafah on Egypt's eastern border with the Gaza Strip.

The World Health Organisation
...Kind of like the Center for Disease Control only run by the UN, with about the results you'd expectt...
(WHO) said on Saturday that medical supplies covering the needs of 300,000 people in the Gaza Strip had been delivered to an Egyptian airport near the Paleostinian enclave, pending humanitarian access.

According to the WHO, the equipment can be delivered once humanitarian access can be established via the Rafah border crossing with Egypt, in the south of the Gaza Strip.

A plane carrying 78 m3 of equipment from the UN agency's logistics centre in Dubai landed at Egypt's El-Arich airport, WHO said in a statement.

Egypt says its side of the Rafah crossing that connects Sinai with the Gaza Strip remains open, though traffic has been halted for several days because of Israeli bombardments on the Paleostinian side of the border.

Egyptian security forces have been reinforcing security on their side of the border, including moving concrete barriers, but reports that they were sealing off the crossing were incorrect, one Egyptian security source said, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
The crossing is the main exit point for the Gaza Strip's 2.3 million residents that is not controlled by Israel. Israel and Egypt have upheld a blockade on the enclave, controlling the movement of goods and people, since Hamas
...not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
took control in 2007.

There is alarm in Egypt over the prospect that residents in Gaza could be displaced by Israel's siege and bombardment of the territory, launched in retaliation for the devastating incursion by Hamas murderous Moslems.

Like other Arab states, it has said that Paleostinians should stay on their lands as the war escalates, and that it is working to secure delivery of aid into the Gaza Strip.

Clashes between Turkish army and PKK in northern Duhok

The source told Shafaq News Agency that "the festivities broke out in the areas of Sur Skiri, Dery, and Kwani, in the Amadiya district, north of Duhok. They are still ongoing, and it has not been confirmed whether there are any material or human losses."

#3  BREAKING: OCTOBER 16, 2023: Israeli forces shot their own civilians, kibbutz survivor says

Yasmin Porat, a survivor of the bloodshed at Kibbutz Be’eri, near the boundary with Gaza, says many Israeli civilians were killed by Israeli forces.
An Israeli woman who survived the Hamas assault on settlements near the Gaza boundary on 7 October says Israeli civilians were “undoubtedly” killed by their own security forces.

It happened when Israeli forces engaged in fierce gun battles with Palestinian fighters in Kibbutz Be’eri and fired indiscriminately at both the fighters and their Israeli prisoners.

“They eliminated everyone, including the hostages,” she told Israeli radio. “There was very, very heavy crossfire” and even tank shelling.

The woman, 44-year-old mother of three Yasmin Porat, said that prior to that, she and other civilians had been held by the Palestinians for several hours and treated “humanely.” She had fled the nearby “Nova” rave.

A recording of her interview, from the radio program Haboker Hazeh (“This Morning”) hosted by Aryeh Golan on state broadcaster Kan, has been circulating on social media.

#4  She was treated humanely while the invaders were tying up and torturing children to death and setting houses on fire to kill the occupants when they couldn’t get into the safe rooms? It sounds like Ms Porat has an agenda unrelated to reality.

I don’t doubt some Israeli bullets hit the hostages in the process of taking back the kibbutz from the invaders. Friendly fire happens in the heat of battle, unlike in video games.

The photo showed seven dead children wrapped in white and claimed they were part of the "614 Palestinian children murdered by the Israeli [IDF] forces."

A community note from X, formerly known as Twitter, stated that the picture was from a 2013 sarin gas attack in Ghouta, Syria, and not from the Israel-Hamas war.

Gaza War, Day 9: Briefs from the Times of Israel Liveblog
Number of Americans killed since Hamas onslaught up to 30, another 13 missing
The US State Department says the number of Americans killed since Hamas launched a spree of murderous rampages across southern Israel has risen to 30, and 13 people are missing and feared kidnapped.

“At this time, we can confirm the deaths of 30 US citizens. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and to the families of all those affected,” the State Department said in a statement released Sunday. The US is also aware of 13 missing citizens and has been in contact with their families.

Hamas terrorists stormed into Israel on October 7 and murdered more than 1,300 Israelis, the vast majority of them civilians. They also kidnapped at least 155 people — a number that includes babies and the elderly — and are holding them hostage in Gaza.

NYC Club advertises ‘Intifada Fundraver’ with video of Hamas assault
A club in New York City is hosting an “Intifada Fundraver” tonight and is promoting the event with a video featuring a clip of Palestinians bulldozing through the Gaza border fence during the October 7 Hamas terror onslaught.

The End NYC says 100% of the proceeds raised from the party will be donated to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and the Medical Aid for Palestine NGOs.

Sunday night airstrikes shake Gaza, reportedly near hospital
Fresh airstrikes can be heard echoing in the Gaza Strip, with fireballs lighting up the night sky.

The Palestinian Red Crescent says that five airstrikes were carried out near al-Quds Hospital, according to Gaza media. Israel had given the hospital a deadline of Saturday afternoon to evacuate, which the Red Crescent refused, saying the order was impossible.

IDF says it killed senior Hamas commander in southern Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces says it has struck and killed a senior Hamas commander in the Gaza Strip.

The IDF says Muataz Eid, the head of the terror group’s national security southern district, was killed in an airstrike following intelligence efforts by the Shin Bet security agency and Military Intelligence Directorate.

The military says it has struck more than 250 targets throughout the Gaza Strip today, mostly in its north.

The targets have included Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad military headquarters, observation posts and several rocket launching sites, according to the IDF.

Israel halts security exports to Colombia as president likens IDF to Nazis
Israel announces that it is halting security exports to Colombia after President President Gustavo Petro likened the Israeli military to Nazis when asked to condemn the Hamas onslaught.

The Foreign Ministry summons Colombian ambassador Margarita Manjarez for a dressing down in the wake of Petro’s comments.

“At the meeting, it was made clear to the ambassador that her president’s statements were received in Israel with shock given Hamas’s barbaric terrorist attack, in which more than 1,300 Israelis were murdered and over 150 innocent civilians were kidnapped,” says spokesperson Lior Hayat.

Israel condemns the president’s statements, which constitute support for the horrific acts of Hamas terrorists, inflame antisemitism, harm representatives of the State of Israel, and threaten the safety of the Jewish community in Colombia. As the first measure taken in response, Israel decided to stop security exports to Colombia,” Hayat says.

Since the news of the attacks spread on Saturday, Gustavo Petro — a former member of the M19 armed guerilla movement and Colombia’s first left-wing president in decades — has tweeted and retweeted a steady stream of pro-Palestinian messages on his account on X.

Herzog tells CNN that terrorists had manuals how to torture and kidnap people
President Isaac Herzog tells CNN that marauding Hamas terrorists who infiltrated Israel last week in an unprecedented onslaught were carrying manuals with instructions on how to torture and kidnap those they found.

“This was found on the body of one of the terrorists, this is a booklet, okay, this booklet is an instruction guide, how to go into civilian areas, into a kibbutz, a city, a moshav, how to break in,” Herzog tells Wolf Blitzer.

“And first thing what do you do when you find the citizens, you torture them. This is the booklet, it says exactly how to torture them, how to abduct them, how to kidnap them,” Herzog says holding up a copy of the pamphlet.

During the onslaught on Israeli border communities, the terrorists killed some 1,300 people, most of them civilians, and took at least 155 hostages.

Herzog notes that many of the hostages are elderly or children.

“Who are these hostages? Babies, pregnant women, elderly people with dementia, even with caretakers, families, innocent civilians, from 36 nations — people were killed or abducted from 36 nations,” he says.

Palestinians say toll in Gaza war hits 2,670
Could be true, could be the same kind of imaginative counting they use to measure their population.
The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza says that 357 people were killed and some 1,000 injured in the past 24 hours, bringing the toll to 2,670 killed and 9,600 injured since the start of the war.

Israel says it has also killed some 1,500 Hamas terrorists inside Israel since the terror group launched its onslaught last week.

IDF says 155 families informed that loved ones taken hostage by Hamas
The military’s top spokesman, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, says the military has so far notified the families of 155 hostages that their loved ones are being held in the Gaza Strip.

Hagari says more than 600,000 Palestinians from Gaza City have evacuated south despite attempts by Hamas to prevent people from leaving.

The IDF has warned it will heavily target the northern part of the Gaza Strip in the coming days.

“We act in accordance with international law to cause a minimum amount of harm to uninvolved citizens, I stress this to the world, this is the difference between us and our enemies,” Hagari says.

Turning to the north, Hagari says Hezbollah is “working to escalate the situation under Iranian guidance and planning.”

As footage released, Gallant praises Unit 414 observation team for early fire at Hamas onslaught
New footage published by the Israel Defense Forces shows the moment Unit 414 soldiers, monitoring surveillance cameras, open fire using remote weapon systems at Hamas terrorists approaching the Gaza border on October 7.

“Commander commander, we are at war,” a soldier is heard saying over the radio.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant meanwhile pays a visit today to the Combat Intelligence Collection Corps soldiers at the Zikim base.

“You went through things that soldiers in Israel have not gone through since the War of Independence,” Gallant tells the Unit 414 soldiers.

“You functioned in combat conditions, experienced heavy losses, and played an important part in the battles,” he adds.

Blinken confident Rafah crossing with Gaza to open to aid
Sec’ty Blinken and the White House had much to say today, trying to force events to their preferred shape.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt “will be open” for aid into the blockaded strip.

“We’re putting in place with the United Nations, with Egypt, with Israel, with others, the mechanism by which to get the assistance and to get it to people who need it,” he tells reporters while departing from Cairo.

IDF strongly denies claim that Israel struck evacuating convoy in Gaza: Hamas spreading ‘manipulative fake information’
The Israeli military strongly denies claims by the Hamas terror group, reported by international media outlets, that Israel struck convoys of Palestinians evacuating from the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

“This is a false report,” the IDF’s top spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari says in a press conference.

“The one making cynical use of their own citizens and taking them as human shields is Hamas,” Hagari says.

Hagari says Hamas is spreading “manipulative fake information into the world’s ears.”

US says will start to evacuate nationals from Israel by sea
The United States says it will begin to evacuate nationals and their immediate family members from Israel via sea to Cyprus on Monday.

The US is also operating flights for those who want to leave.

A number of countries have begun to evacuate their citizens from Israel in recent days ahead of the expected ground operation in Gaza and soaring tensions on the northern border.

IDF says it killed Hamas commander who led murderous attacks on Nirim, Nir Oz
The Israel Defense Forces says it has killed another commander in Hamas’s commando forces, who led the murderous attacks on the southern communities of Nirim and Nir Oz last weekend.

The IDF says Billal al-Qedra, the commander of the so-called Nukhba unit’s southern Khan Younis battalion, was killed in an airstrike following intelligence efforts by the Shin Bet security agency and Military Intelligence Directorate.

“He was responsible for the murderous raid in Kibbutz Nirim and Nir Oz,” the IDF says.

Several more Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists were killed in airstrikes overnight in the Gaza Strip, the IDF says.

The IDF says it hit more than 100 targets overnight, including Hamas command centers, military compounds, dozens of rocket launchers, anti-tank missile launch posts and observation posts; and Islamic Jihad command centers.

Israel says one killed in fire from Lebanon as Hezbollah claims strikes

Strip to the south.

The Israeli army closed the border area to civilians as tit-for-tat fire with Hezbollah and allied Paleostinian factions in Lebanon intensified.

More than 10 people have been killed in Lebanon and at least two in Israel since last Sunday.

"The IDF (Israeli army) responded with fire and destroyed Hezbollah positions and the source of the fire," an Israeli army front man said.

"In addition, there was fire at an Israeli military position. There were no casualties. The IDF responded with fire to the source of fire there too," he added.

A military spokesperson told AFP that, "we have a dead civilian and a number of people maimed in the attack" by an anti-tank missile in Shtula.

"In accordance with the situational assessment and the recent shooting incident in northern Israel, the area up to four kilometers (2.5 miles) from the northern border with Lebanon has been closed," the army said in another statement.

Hezbollah on Sunday morning said it had targeted an Israeli position in the Shtula area with guided missiles.

In a separate statement, the group said one of its fighters had died Sunday.

A spokesperson told AFP the fighter died after sustaining injuries in south Lebanon prior to Sunday, and that Israel was responsible.

Hezbollah said the strikes were retaliation for separate "Israeli aggressions" that killed two civilians and struck journalists, killing a Rooters videographer and wounding others -- including two from AFP.

Lebanon's army blamed an Israeli rocket which hit a car belonging to the journalists. Israel's army said it was "looking into" who launched the strike.

Two Lebanese non-combatants were killed in Israeli shelling of a southern village on Saturday, its mayor told AFP. Hezbollah said one of its fighters was also killed by Israeli fire.

"Our headquarters in Naqoura was hit with a rocket and we are working to verify from where. Our peacekeepers were not in shelters at the time. Fortunately, no one was hurt," UNIFIL said in a statement.

"We remind all the parties involved that attacks against civilians or U.N. personnel are violations of international law that may amount to war crimes," it added.

"We have no interest in a war in the north, we don't want to escalate the situation," Gallant said in a video released by his office, as he visited troops in the country's south.
