Cops responded to the killer's home at 2.49am on Saturday when a frantic woman 'screaming for help' called 911 to say she had been stabbed and two other people were still trapped in the home.
Austin police previously identified the gunman as a male and sources added he had been found dead in the home with two of his victims.
Three who were found dead in the hostage situation have been identified as Eman Ahmed El Nemr-Nassar, a mother, Ahmed Mohamed Nassar, 35, her son and Riad Mohamed Nassar, 32, her other son, by members of Austin's Islamic community.
It is not clear which of the sons was the shooter.
'Three of the family members of the beloved brother Mohamed Nassar, passed away,' the Austin mosque shared online.
Mohamed, the father, is the owner of the home where Pastore was killed, according to property records. He moved away less than a year ago, according to CBS Austin. It's unknown what part of the shooter's background the FBI is interested in.
[AFRICANEWS] Mali's military has seized control of the northern town of Kidal, marking the first time the army has held the Tuareg rebel stronghold in nearly a decade, state broadcaster ORTM reported Tuesday.
"This is a message from the president of the transition to the Malian people," journalist Ibrahim Traore said in his introduction to the ORTM news bulletin. "Today, our armed and security forces have seized Kidal. Our mission is not over."
Mohammed Maouloud Ramadan, a rebel front man based in neighboring Mauritania, confirmed the presence of the Malian military in Kidal.

Separatist Tuareg rebels in the north have long sought an independent state they call Azawad. In 2012, they dislodged the Malian military from the town, setting into motion a series of events that destabilized the country.
Mutinous soldiers, upset about how the Tuareg rebellion was handled in 2012, later overthrew the country's democratically elected leader. Amid the chaos, Islamic turbans soon seized control of the major northern towns including Kidal, imposing their strict interpretation of Islamic law known as Shariah.
In 2013, La Belle France led a military intervention to oust the turbans from power, but they later regrouped and spent the next decade launching attacks on the Malian military and U.N. peacekeepers.
Another military coup in 2020, led by transition president Col. Assimi Goïta, resulted in deteriorating relations with Mali's international partners. Mali's foreign minister ordered the U.N. peacekeeping mission known as MINUSMA to depart, and forces left Kidal at the beginning of November.

[AFRICANEWS] The M23 rebels have retaken the village of Kishishe in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo ...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material... , where they are accused of having committed a massacre at the end of November 2022, killing some 170 people according to the UN, local sources said on Tuesday.
These rebels, backed by Rwanda according to many sources, withdrew from the village at the beginning of April, at the same time as they left other localities in North Kivu province that they had seized the previous year.
But after six months of relative calm, violent mostly peaceful fighting resumed in early October between the rebels and the army allied with so-called "patriot" gangs. Since then, the M23 seems to be gradually reoccupying the positions it had vacated.
Kishishe was largely deserted by its inhabitants, but fighting nevertheless took place there for two days before the army moved in, according to sources interviewed by telephone from Goma, the scenic provincial capital.
"The invaders launched large-scale attacks," said an officer speaking on condition of anonymity ... for fear of being murdered... , claiming that the rebels had received reinforcements from the Rwandan army. "It is Rwandans who are attacking us," he added.
"Kishishe has been controlled by the M23" since late Monday afternoon, said a local civil society representative, and this was confirmed by two security sources.
"The M23 is in Kishishe... The population has fled to (the neighbouring localities of) Kirima, Mutanda, Kanyabayonga and Kibirizi", said a village official."There is great tension in Kibirizi, where displaced people are arriving in droves", said one resident. According to him, FDLR bully boyz "in civilian clothes" are also arriving in the town.
The hills around Kishishe are historic strongholds of the FDLR (Forces démocratiques pour la libération du Rwanda), an gang created by former Hutu leaders of the Tutsi genocide in Rwanda in 1994.
By the end of November 2022, M23 rebels had killed 171 people in Kishishe, according to the UN, mainly boys and men whom they accused of being militiamen. The M23 denies having committed such a massacre.
A mainly Tutsi rebellion defeated in 2013, the M23 ("March 23 Movement") took up arms again in November 2021 in North Kivu, which borders Rwanda and Uganda.

Police used tear gas and flash-bang grenades Monday to halt a march against building an Atlanta-area police and firefighter training center that opponents call “Cop City.”
More than 400 people marched about 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) from a park to the site in suburban DeKalb County, chanting “stop Cop City” and “Viva, viva Tortuguita,” invoking the nickname of an activist who was fatally shot by state troopers while camping in the woods in protest earlier this year.
A wedge of marchers, including some in masks, goggles and chemical suits intended to protect against tear gas, pushed into a line of officers in riot gear on a road outside the training center site. Officers pushed back and deployed tear gas. One protester threw a canister back at officers.
When the cops deployed their riot shields and formed a line, the rioters charged and smashed into the shields with their signs. When the police were compelled to deploy tear gas, rioters in chemical suits and gas masks picked the canisters up and threw them back at the cops. Some arrests were made and the protesters were eventually dispersed, but this was more than a confrontation. It was a battle. And if their army gets any larger, the police are going to need some serious backup to keep the situation under control.
This could easily lead to total anarchy and the shutting down of I-98, I-75, I-20, the airport. Something is going on in Atlanta that needs some serious looking in to.

It may seem a tremendous waste - when a few FAE is what Gaza deserves. But, there are special rules - not applied to anyone else for the neighborhood bully. Also imagine such intelligence abilities applied against a regular army.
