-War on Police-
Atlanta Public Safety Training Center protestors involved in 80+ incidents, including Friday arson
[WSBTV-2] ATLANTA — There have been more than 80 acts of violence that have been reported across the country involving protestors against the Atlanta Public Safety Training Facility, according to police.
Antifa calls it Cop City, and for some reason they really don’t want it. They’ve been camped in the scrub woods, causing trouble, since 2021. Last September Georgia State attorney general, Chris Carr charged 61 of them under the state’s RICO laws, which are broader than the federal version.
The most recent violent attack was an arson that occurred Friday morning. The fire started around 5 a.m. at what appears to be new townhomes being built in a community called Empire Zephyr.

"This arson attack is an attempt to stop that investment of the safety of Atlanta," said Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum.

DRC rebel group kills at least 19 people in attack on eastern town
[AFRICANEWS] At least 19 people were killed when rebels attacked a town in Congo’s North Kivu province, the army said late Thursday (Jan. 25).

The rebels shelled the town of Mweso, where they "indiscriminately dropped mortar bombs," which also injured 27 other civilians, army front man Lt. Col. Guillaume N’djike Kaïko said in a statement read on state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
The town's streets were empty Thursday evening, after most of its residents took refuge in the Mweso General Hospital, Kaïko added.

The army blamed the attack on the M23 rebel group, which rose to prominence 10 years ago when its fighters seized Goma, eastern Congo’s largest city on the border with Rwanda. Its name refers to a March 23, 2009, peace deal, which it accuses the government of not implementing.
M23 is also known as the Congolese Revolutionary Army. The Tutsi group was founded in 2012 as a Rwandan sock puppet, which no doubt seemed a good idea at the time, but in less than a year the Congolese army defeated them, and then Rwanda publicly stepped back in response to international pressure. M23 started acting up again in late 2022, possibly again at Rwandan instigation...
There was no response from the group to the accusation.

U.N. experts warned last year that attacks by M23 fighters have become more frequent, longer and stronger, and that territory under the group’s control "significantly increased," causing massive displacement of civilians and indiscriminate shelling. M23 combatants also "deliberately killed civilians" and attacked U.N. peacekeeping troops.

Fighting in eastern Congo has been simmering for decades as more than 120 groups fight for power, land and valuable mineral resources, while others try to defend their communities.

The security crisis was a key issue in Congo's recent presidential election, in which Congolese President Felix Tshisekedi was reelected with a promise to end the violence.

Tshisekedi accuses Rwanda of destabilizing Congo by backing the M23 rebels. U.N. experts have linked the rebels to Rwandan forces, though Rwanda denies supporting them.

Nigeria ; Nine arrested after deadly clashes in Plateau state
[AFRICANEWS] Police in Plateau state, central Nigeria, have arrested nine individuals linked to renewed attacks in the Mangu area. Over the past two days, at least 50 people bit the dust in communal festivities.

On Wednesday, gunnies targeted villages near Mangu town, following confrontations between two rival ethnic groups that saw mosques and churches set ablaze the previous day.

General Edward Buba, spokesperson for the Nigerian military, confirmed the deployment of special forces to hot spots in the state to contain the situation.

Ansar Allah movement from Yemen: a British tanker was fired upon in the Gulf of Aden
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The British oil tanker Marlin Luanda came under fire from representatives of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement (Houthis), military representative of the organization Yahya Saria reported on social networks.

According to him, the target was attacked with anti-ship missiles, after which the ship caught fire. Saria noted that the Houthis will continue to attack ships associated with Israel or heading to the ports of this country.

He explained that this will continue until the end of the Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip. In addition, the representative of the organization added that Ansar Allah will continue to attack US and British ships, despite the attacks of these countries on Yemeni traffic targets.

China asks Iran to curb Houthi attacks in Red Sea

The Chinese authorities have asked Iran to help stop attacks by the rebel movement Ansar Allah (Houthis) in the Red Sea. Reuters reported this on January 26, citing sources in Iran.

According to the latter, Beijing and Tehran have held several meetings recently to discuss trade and attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea.

One of the sources said that Chinese representatives said that if any harm were done to its interests, it would affect the country's relations with Iran.

“So Iran needs to influence the Houthis to show restraint,” he said.

At the same time, the agency did not provide any specific comments about the possibility of interrupting trade relations between Tehran and Beijing.

Courtesy of Skidmark, Yahoo adds:
[Yahoo] The Yemeni armed forces claimed it had targeted a “British oil” vessel on Friday, but shipping data shows the Marlin Luanda sails under the flag of the Marshall Islands.

Singapore-based multinational firm Trafigura said the safety of crew on the vessel, which is operated on its behalf, is its “foremost priority” and naval ships were en route to assist on Friday.

A Government spokesperson said on Friday night: “We are aware of reports that the motor vessel Marlin Luanda, a Marshall Islands-flagged tanker, has sustained damage from attack in the Gulf of Aden. Current reports suggest no casualties and nearby coalition vessels are on the scene.

O Canada: Stringent Gun Control Fails to Stop Firearm Attack on Edmonton City Hall
[Breitbart] Canada’s stringent gun controls failed to stop a firearm and Molotov cocktail attack Tuesday on Edmonton’s City Hall.

The Edmonton Journal reported that the alleged 28-year-old shooter was armed with a long gun when he “entered the building through the parkade, fired shots and threw a Molotov cocktail.” Some councillors were in the building at the time of the attack but were taken to safe locations by police/security.

The attack on Edmonton’s City Hall occurred despite Canada’s stringent gun controls.

Those gun controls include a ban on “over 1,500 models of assault-style firearms and certain components of some newly prohibited firearms (the upper receivers of M16, AR-10, AR-15, and M4 patterns of firearms),” which went into effect May 1, 2020, according to the Government of Canada. And Canada had ammunition magazine restrictions long before the “assault-style firearms” ban was adopted.

Licensing is the law of the land in Canada and passage of a firearm safety course is a requirement for acquiring a license to a own a gun. A license is also necessary to legally acquire and/or possess a firearm.

Canada requires extensive background checks on those intending to purchase a firearm. Moreover, Ottawa’s City News reported that beginning July 7, 2021, Canada expanded the scope of the background check conducted so that it looks not simply at the previous five years of a would-be purchaser’s life, but at their entire life. At the same time, the prime minister announced requirements on firearm retailers in Canada were increased.

Canada also has a waiting period for gun purchases.
Burying the lede:
Despite these and numerous other gun controls, a 28-year-old attacker–who allegedly made a video mentioning, among other things, the “genocide” in Gaza before attacking–was able to open fire on the Edmonton City Hall Tuesday.
MSN adds:
The security guard accused of firing shots and causing a small fire with Molotov cocktails inside Edmonton's city hall on Tuesday is being held in a maximum security unit in the Edmonton Remand Centre.

Bezhani Sarvar, 28, appeared by video Thursday in Edmonton's Court of King's Bench.

Sarvar had been scheduled for a bail hearing, but his defence lawyer, David Ibrahim, requested that the case be put over while he waits for Crown prosecutors to provide him with the information he needs to prepare for the hearing.

Sarvar is next expected to appear in court on Feb. 2.

Sarvar has worked for security company Corps of Commissionaires since 2019.
More from MSN, which has Mr. Sarvar’s odd, and oddly calm, 4 minute long video manifesto. The last minute is in Arabic — can anyone translate?
In the video titled “Rise up,” which has since been removed from YouTube, Sarvar touches on everything from weapons sales to eating healthy to Gaza to “wokeism.”

“Before I do my mission, I want you all to know that I am not a psychopath. I do not believe in bloodshed. I am not one of these monsters that hurt children, that hurt innocents,” Sarvar says.

“I’m just tired of seeing the tyranny and corruption taking over our society and our lives,” Sarvar says.

Seriously, does anyone really expect a genocidal agenda based terrorist group to abide by a court order?????

Will the Int Court also hold them in contempt and order their arrest and they fail to obey? 🤔

#5  It's not such a stupid move. The Court will convene again in one month, and the fact that Hamas won't have released all of the hostages will make it impossible for the judges to order Israel to stop (which it won't do anyway).

Please note: This is NOT the International Criminal Court, but the International Court of Justice.

The International Criminal Court is an independent organisation and is not a part of the United Nations. However, they do work alongside each other and the United Nations Security Council can refer to situations involving international crimes to the ICC.

Meanwhile, the International Court of Justice is an integral part of the United Nations and acts as its primary judicial branch. In fact, the United Nations Security Council enforces the rulings and judgements passed by this court.

#7  Absolutely meaningless, but not laughingly so. If those poor hostages were still among us, they would have been produced before now.

I hope I am wrong.

#9  Yes, they were smart enough to craft themselves a fig leaf with the hostage release order. They can now shrug their shoulders and say "we tried."

IDF Troops Conduct Targeted Operations on Military Sites, Eliminate Terrorists Khan Yunis Area
[IDF.IL] IDF troops conducted targeted raids on terrorist sites in the Al Amal area in Khan Yunis. Employing precise sniper fire, they eliminated bandidos snuffies and dismantled their infrastructure and weapons in the area.

In addition, after four armed bandidos snuffies were identified approaching IDF troops, an IAF aircraft was directed by troops to strike the terror operatives.

In another incident in the area, six bandidos snuffies were identified carrying RPGs near IDF troop positions. In response, an IAF aircraft was directed to strike the terrorists.

Additionally, IDF soldiers carried out a targeted raid on multiple military command centers. In close-quarters combat, the soldiers eliminated the terrorists, and various weapons were discovered in the process.

In the central Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip, IDF troops conducted targeted raids on military compounds in the area. Encountering bandidos snuffies hiding inside, the troops directed an IAF helicopter to strike and kill the terrorists.

In the northern Gaza Strip, the troops successfully eliminated a number of terror operatives and located weapons in the area.

IDF calls for residents of Khan Younis refugee camp, other neighborhoods in city to evacuate

[IsraelTimes] The IDF is calling on residents of a number of neighborhoods in western Khan Younis to evacuate to the nearby al-Mawasi area in southern Gaza, as the military’s ground offensive expands.

Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman, publishes a map of the zones that need to be evacuated alongside the announcement.

The zones include the al-Nasr and al-Amal neighborhoods, the Khan Younis refugee camp, and the city center.

In the largest operation in a month, Israeli forces encircled and pushed through Khan Younis over the past few days, where many Palestinians sheltered after leaving northern Gaza, the early focus of the war.

...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
Friday, apparently killing four members of the Iranian-backed Lebanese terror group. The strikes came in response to earlier rocket fire from Lebanon.

Two sites hit by fighter jets in the village of Beit Lif were being manned by Hezbollah operatives, the IDF said. Another site was struck in Deir Aames.

Hezbollah named four members killed "on the road to Jerusalem," its term for operatives slain in Israeli strikes.

Their deaths bring the terror group’s toll to 171 since October 8.

Earlier Friday, several rockets were fired from Lebanon at the Mount Hermon area in northern Israel with the IDF responding by shelling the launch sites with artillery.

Later, an IAF fighter jet struck a building used by the terror group in Bint Jbeil. On Thursday night, another building was struck in Khiam, the military said earlier.

Hezbollah has been trying to harm Israel’s aerial defenses with attacks in the Mount Hermon area.

#1  UN Security Council Resolution 1701 ended the 2nd Lebanon War in 2006 and barred Hezbollah from maintaining a military presence south of the Litani River (located some 18 miles north of the Israel-Lebanon border). Hezbollah has blatantly violated that resolution and regularly launches attacks on Israel... Some 80,000 Israeli residents of communities located up to 10 kilometers south of the Lebanon border have been evacuated and are temporarily staying in hotels and other facilities, with funding from the state. ... There are approximately 800,000 Lebanese living in the Litani River region who may soon suffer the Gaza treatment
