NISA averts bomb attack after seized bag filled with explosives
[ShabelleMedia] The NISA forces thwarted a major attack plot after seized kabooms in a suspicious bag in Abdiaziz District.

A suspect was arrested for the foiled bombing in the capital and he is under NISA questioning, according to the reports.

The successful seizure came following a tip off from the residents who phoned to NISA after witnessing suspicious man with bag on his hand.

Mogadishu enjoyed relative calm since the election of Hassan Sheikh in May 2022. The security has improved due to routine operations by military police.

The United States conducted a cyberattack recently against an Iranian military ship in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden that had been collecting intelligence on cargo vessels, NBC News reported on Thursday, citing three US officials.

The cyberattack took place a week ago as part of a government response to a drone attack by Iranian-backed militias in Iraq that killed three US service members in Jordan late last month and maimed dozens of others, the report said.

NBC reported that the operation was intended to inhibit the ship’s ability to share intelligence with Houthi hard boyz in Yemen.

Spanish police busts a group supplying cocaine to Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Spanish National Police caught a group that supplied cocaine to various countries, including Russia, with the help of fruit export companies, according to the Spanish law enforcement website.

According to the Spanish police, the investigation into the activities of the group began in 2020, when information was received that an Italian businessman of Argentine origin was in the country. According to preliminary data, he controlled enterprises that exported Ecuadorian bananas to Europe, including Russia.

“During the operation, which involved the coordinated participation of more than 800 agents, a total of 32 people were arrested: 13 in Spain, 18 in Ecuador and one in the UK. All of them belonged to a criminal structure based in Ecuador, which was credited with the seizure of 3,210 kilograms of cocaine in various countries, as well as 200 kilograms of the illegal drug imported into Spain through the port of Algecira,” the Spanish department said.

As noted by the Spanish National Police, the complexity of the investigation required international cooperation, coordinated at the judicial level by the Special Anti-Drug Prosecutor's Office and at the police level with Europol. Moreover, in order to detain the group, the joint efforts of the ministries of the interior of Spain, Ecuador and Russia, as well as the interior attachés in Albania, Belgium, the Netherlands and Turkey, were involved.

As reported by IA Regnum, on January 24, in St. Petersburg, customs officers seized a shipment of cocaine worth 13 billion rubles.

According to the customs service, the container contained contraband weighing 1,200 kilograms. The drugs were discovered when the container was scanned. The inspectors saw that among the bags of coffee were briquettes containing white powder.

The examination showed that it was cocaine. A criminal case was opened on this fact.

Navalny dies in prison
[NYPOST] Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
’s fiercest critic, Alexei Navalny, died in a brutal penal colony Friday, having been locked up since returning home following a nerve agent poisoning widely assumed to have been an liquidation attempt.

The Russian opposition leader, a married father of two, was 47.

Russia’s Federal Penitentiary Service claimed that "the convict" collapsed and died after he "felt unwell" during a walk at the IK-3 penal colony in remote Kharp, about 1,200 miles northeast of Moscow.

However,
Switzerland makes more than cheese...
the US joined other nations in bluntly blaming warmongering Russian President Putin.

"If confirmed, this would be a further sign of Putin’s brutality," Vice President Kámala Harris
Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's former mistress, now a senatrix from California former 2020 Dem presidential hopeful, and Joe Biden's wing nut...
said of hearing the "terrible news" while at a conference with other world leaders in Germany.

"Whatever story they tell, let us be clear — Russia is responsible."

Secretary of State Antony Blinken
...71st United States secretary of state and a leading light of the corrupt and inept Biden administration. He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. He advocated for the 2003 invasion of Iraq while serving as the Democratic staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2002 to 2008. He was a foreign policy advisor for the Biden 2008 presidential campaign. During his tenure in the Obama administration, Blinken helped craft B.O.'s policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the nuclear program of Iran. We all saw how well each of those worked. After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm...
earlier said that Navalny’s "death in a Russian prison and the fixation and fear of one man only underscores the weakness and rot at the heart of the system that Putin has built."

"Russia is responsible for this," Blinken also said firmly.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared a similar message while speaking in Germany, where he was seeking further aid to defend against Russia’s nearly two-year-old invasion.

"It is obvious that he was killed by Putin," he said.

"Putin doesn’t care who dies — only for him to hold his position. This is why he must hold onto nothing. Putin must lose everything and be held responsible for his deeds."

EU Council President Charles Michel said the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
holds the Russian regime "solely responsible."

"Alexei Navalny fought for the values of freedom and democracy," Michel said in a post on X. "For his ideals, he made the ultimate sacrifice."

Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics likewise did not mince words, saying Navalny was "brutally murdered by the Kremlin."

"That’s a fact and that is something one should know about the true nature of Russia’s current regime," Rinkevics wrote on X. "My condolences to the family and friends."

India-Pakistan
Pir Pagara predicts 'emergency, martial law'
[GEO.TV] In a sweeping statement, Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) chief Pir Pagara has said that he believes an "emergency or martial law" can be imposed in the country, while the judiciary will grant it legal cover as his party protests against the "rigged" February 8 general elections.

Several political parties have taken to the streets after the unofficial election results poured in following the February 8 nationwide polls, whereas, major political parties that won the highest number of seats commenced efforts to search for allies and forge alliances to form the next governments in the Centre and provinces.

A few days ago, the Pagara-led GDA announced launching an agitation drive against the alleged election rigging that led to the Pakistain Peoples Party (PPP) victory in Sindh and also decided that its two MPAs-elect will not join the new provincial assembly.
You can't play if you don't show up.
"Army has tested everyone now [...] no one can take control of federation except military," claimed Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi, also known as Pir Pagara, while addressing a massive protest in Sindh’s Jamshoro city against alleged election rigging.

Expressing serious reservations over the 2024 election outcomes, Rashdi alleged: "The results had been sold and payments were disbursed almost three months before the conduct of the nationwide polls."

He said that his allies had suggested electioneering but he refused them to spend a massive sum of money on public meetings. "I stay away from politics as it demands lies. An individual is considered to be a 'great leader' who has the quality to spread lies every time."

The recent polls have proved that there was no national-level leader present in the country, said the alliance’s chief.

The spiritual leader of Hurs clarified that they were staging protests against alleged poll rigging but not against any national institutions including the armed forces. He added that the entire country was well protected and living in peace due to the security forces.
Criticize the military in Pak and you go to jail or worse.
Pagara said that he also rejected the suggestion of boycotting the general elections as it would not be fruitful to let people see things in black-and-white.

He signalled that it would be difficult for any party to rule the country in the absence of a "national-level leader". Pagara predicted that ’emergency or martial law’ could be imposed in the country in case of any uncertain situation and the judiciary would grant it a legal cover.

says 5 patients have died

Forces from the elite Maglan and naval commando unit continued to carry out searches Friday at Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis — the focal point of recent fighting — and apprehended more than 20 Lions of Islam who took part in the October 7 massacres in Israel, the military said. The soldiers also found mortars, grenades and other weaponry belonging to Hamas inside the medical facility.

In addition, dozens of suspects were taken for questioning.

The army also said that during operations at the hospital, troops found medications with the names of hostages on them. "The origin of the medication and their use is under investigation," the Israel Defense Forces said.

Health officials in the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry said that five patients in intensive care had died after their oxygen cut off, and alleged troops had caused chaos for hundreds of staff and maimed inside.

The IDF also announced on Friday the death in battle of Staff Sgt. Noam Haba, 20, of the Paratroopers Brigade’s 202nd Battalion, from Jerusalem, raising the IDF’s corpse count since the beginning of the ground offensive in the Gaza Strip to 234.

The IDF said that in the same battle in which Haba was killed, other soldiers were maimed, including a fellow member of the 202nd Battalion who was seriously hurt.

IDF troops entered the Nasser Hospital building on Thursday after surrounding the hospital for a week, saying they had information that hostages had been held there and that some bodies of dead hostages may still be at the site. A released hostage told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named last month that she and over two dozen other captives had been held inside the hospital.

The military said it will "continue to operate in accordance with international law against the Hamas terror group, which has systematically operated from within hospitals and other civilian infrastructures."

The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza said that four patients in the intensive care unit of the hospital died early Friday morning due to a lack of electricity in the facility, preventing adequate oxygen supplies.

The ministry had earlier warned that six patients in the ICU and three infants in incubators were in danger because fuel for generators was on the verge of running out.

"The Israeli occupation is responsible for the lives of patients and staff as the compound now is under its full control," the ministry said.

There was no immediate comment from the IDF.

Also in Khan Younis, the Paratrooper Brigade continued to raid terror targets, killing two Hamas operatives and neutralizing an bomb, and the 7th Brigade of the IDF Armored Corps killed 12 terrorists.

Over the past 24 hours, the IDF continued its campaign throughout different parts of the Gaza Strip with widespread Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s and shootouts between troops and terrorists.

According to the military, the air force hit Hamas targets, including the terror group’s operational headquarters, military buildings, launch positions and other targets. Strikes were also carried out to support ground troops.

The military said fighting also continued in central Gaza, where Nahal Brigade soldiers killed several terror operatives.

Over that same time span, the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry said that 122 people were killed in Gaza, bringing the Paleostinian corpse count in the war to 28,775.

These figures cannot be independently verified and do not distinguish between Hamas members and civilians. They also include Paleostinians killed as a consequence of terror groups’ own rocket misfires. The IDF says it has killed nearly 11,000 Hamas operatives in Gaza, in addition to some 1,000 Lions of Islam inside Israel on October 7.

Two killed, 4 hurt in terror attack at Re’em Junction in south Israel; gunman dead
[IsraelTimes] Two Israelis were killed and four others were maimed, including two at death's door, in a shooting attack at a junction in southern Israel on Friday afternoon, police and medics said.

The terror attack took place at Re’em Junction, just north of the city of Kiryat Malachi, shortly after 12:30 p.m.

Police said the terrorist arrived at the scene in a vehicle and shot up people at a bus station with a handgun, before he was shot and killed by an off-duty IDF reservist officer at the scene.

The terrorist was identified by the Shin Bet as Fadi Jamjoum, 37, from East Jerusalem’s Shuafat. He holds Israeli residency.

A large number of coppers were conducting searches at the scene to ensure no other turbans were involved, although law enforcement officials indicated that the terrorist had likely acted alone.
